Yeah I have accounts on weasyl and those other ones but I'm not sure what traction they have. Uploading to these sites with all the descriptions and tags and everything, across them all is super tedious. I'd like to consolidate on just a few solid ones.

Have you tried using postybirb? You just set up your template and info for each site once and then it takes care of it for you for every new upload after that.

Weasyl allows AI art, so if AI is a no no for people. Weasyl isn't the place to go anymore.

They insist that's not the case, but if you dig into their ToS, they very clearly state using genAI is just fine with them. I don't think a lot of people know that. They claim its okay if you "cite your sources" and it's not the majority of the image. That's still using genAI, which is stolen content. I stopped using that site immediately when I found that buried in their ToS.

I haven't really been a part of FA since leaving the fandom back in 2018-ish... The only reason I still check in at FA, because a hand full of friends still use it and nothing else.

Seeing works of art from artists like your self is nice tho. I've never been a fan of yiff, and that's one of the biggest reasons I love your art so much... A lack of cartoon dicks!

I'm not on any of the sites you've listed above, and I'm not about to become a part of them because I'd love to stay away from the fandom. So I'll say this to you, fuzz butt...

Do you have an art channel on telegram? I follow a few artists' channels on telegram. It's a decent alternative, and you can have comments enabled on uploads for discussion. And of course, you can set up bots to keep things tidy and whatnot.

Well I sort of do but I didn't upload much on it because I realized theres no way for it to be discovered. So I didn't know how to get it to grow.

I see people post about it on their various social media sites, and sometimes I see some forwarded content between artists, which is a nice way to find others!

Thanks a lot frien! My X account has gone over 1,000, though I kind of get screwed by the algorithm deciding not to share my art posts a lot of the time. Telegram channel going up too, I'm not sure if telegram channels are big for sharing art but I'll try to advertise it a lot. Still uploading art from a hundred years ago....2009. Its at least nice not having to put in all those tags and stuff, feels like you're filling out legal documents every time you upload on these other sites.

I've stopped using X like a lot of others have. e621 doesn't really have a "follow" feature that I know of. Telegram channels work, but not really discoverable as mentioned except whenever you share the link somewhere.

I'm still around friend. Though I will say this is entirely motivated by FA as it is run, not in a lack of views or motivation for art.

What's happened? I'm only just returning.

I've been seeing some people getting banned for offending the managements activism and I don't play that game, I find it a red line. I've largely ignored it for years but this place feels like there's nobody around. I want to talk to people and have fun.

Offending the management's activism? I have no idea what that's referring to. Can you go into that a bit more? Sorry to see you go from here. I've never had/never will have a twitter account, and I only view stuff on E621 if someone sends me a link t something.

I suppose if I said what they're doing they might ban my account here as well and I'd like to leave it up for people who have requested it.

FA management and I feel like its become a bit of a ghost town. I don't feel like I come here to interact but just to store my art like a portfolio and I imagine how soon it would be until I just simply get banned like so many others over absurd and twisted reasons.

Now I like X because its more social even though its not great about having your art in a nice gallery for people to search through.

I'm glad you liked the Jingle All the Way one, its kind of special to me also, that movie has a lot of significance in my life. I've seen it an absurd amount of times, but only the original theatrical release! The directors cut is bad bad bad!

But you're also right, the Santa Clause is one of the best Christmas Movies. The Santa Clause, Jingle All the Way, Home Alone, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, I love them so much. Tim Allen is Santa to me. I probably like you never really thought about the movie title, thinking thats just how you spall Claus.
