Question about posting stories.

FA rolled out a new UI, it seems. For me at least, stories posted as .doc load in their own reader window in FA. This seems like it makes posting the entire story in the comment section redundant, but I don't know if people are having issues with this FA reader app. Is it worth continuing to format as I have been? Should I just save myself time and trouble and just let the FA ereader handle it?

I personally haven't encountered any bugs with FA's embedded story reader. It seems fine to just let FA handle it now. :D

Nice. I'll leave the current chapter as-is because I did all the work before I realized they added the feature, but I might leave it for the next ones and see what happens.

The embedded reader is kinda... finicky on mobile. I haven't messed with it much to see if there might be a way to make it bigger, but it comes up really small and frustrating to read, so I end up just reading it in the description if it's there.

I'm probably one of the few people who uses mobile more often than desktop.

I'm with you on this, I also use almost exclusively mobile, and not a fun of the embedded reader.

I'll see what I can do. The latest update has made it very difficult to manually adjust text in the comments section so I was kinda ready to let the new reader window do its thing, but if the reader window is not well reviewed I'll keep fiddling with it

Please, I would like you to continue posting the story and for download as a PDF because I dislike this new window for reading these stories, fa has implemented

Hmm. I can start doing PDFs and see how it goes. I did doc because when I first started it was like all that FA accepted. I didn't even notice that they now accepted other types of text

Ye! PDF is a good failsafe and it preserves your formatting so you can do images and stuff inside if you wanted!

Definitely agree with everyone talking about the reader on mobile not being great. If there was a way to make it full screen I think that would be problem solved.

For now definitely recommend the PDF route

I'm actually liking this change in story posting. The reader window does take some getting used to. But it feels more "fitting" for the story itself. Since I'm going to be posting Stories too, I'll have to see how well it works for me. I haven't tried it enough on mobile myself yet. I do desktop more often. And so far, I enjoy it.
