Hi everyone! Sato here.
I'm new around here, so let me introduce myself: I'm a Brazilian artist — bisexual and neurodivergent (ADHD and possibly ASD).
I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, due to a lack of information growing up, I spent many years not knowing that it was even possible to have a career as an artist. So for most of my life, I wasn’t a professional artist. I earned a degree and am currently finishing a master’s in a subject I really enjoy studying: philosophy. However, I don’t work in that field (nor do I earn any income from it), mainly because I struggle with teaching — it causes me significant anxiety whenever I’ve had to do it.
Since 2021, I’ve done some occasional freelance work, though not consistently. Ever since I found out it was actually possible, my dream has been to make a living as a full-time artist.
I’m not sure if I can say I have a fully developed personal style yet, because one of the things I enjoy most about drawing is experimenting. Most of my work has been portraits — especially self-portraits, since I’ve always felt less intimidated drawing myself than drawing other people 😅. Lately, I’ve also started exploring anthropomorphic character art.
I hope you enjoy my work — and if you're interested, my commissions are open!
