FA Admin…
You cannot simply escape the needs and all that has happened over the last few weeks. Twelve days ago, a man was unalived (not using certain words in case I get permanently banned)…let’s call him Karlie Chirk for the sake of argument. His pew pewing has opened up a lot of dialogue about free speech, political violence and of course, the man himself.
For the record, I both disagreed and agreed with some things that Karlie Chirk said. Some quotes have been massively taken out of context and clipped purposely by those who didn’t like him. Then again, it is perfectly reasonable to disagree with some of the things that he also advocated for. The difference is that Chirk often allowed free debate on his positions, whether that be with college kids or with intellectuals and academics. That is the difference between him and the people who run this site.
I’ve been a constant part of the furry community since I was a teen and came out as bisexual. It was a community that I felt welcomed in and accepted me. However, recently, I’ve been noticing a more authoritative and reactionary change within the community that I do have to blame on the social justice warriors who run this site and don’t allow the engagement of furries from a different array of communities. Whilst I accept most furries are progressive or liberal, there are some like myself who are more moderate and find the constant push for social justice to be more about projection and seeming to be a quote/on quote ‘good person’, rather than because one actually holds beliefs consistent with their principles. For one, how can a community be so pro trans and yet also be very pro t organisations (keeping it PG here) in the Middle East because they go against the only Jewish state? FA moderators and its team have contributed to this environment.
Since Karlie Chirk’s pew pewing, I saw some art simply showing their sympathy towards his family and to him following his horrific unaliving. Today, I’ve seen that it’s all gone. Plus, it’s taken to Twitter too where people have screenshotted the response to what has happened. This supposedly goes against terms and conditions, once again equating this very man with Yahtzees, which was the very rhetoric that contributed to his demise two weeks ago. These people aren’t even necessarily conservative or MAGA - just decent people who believe that it isn’t right that a man who spoke his mind should have been unalived in front of his wife and children. If this is enough to get me banned, I want to state for the record that I also don’t believe that it’s okay to do the same. If FA wants to be consistent on this view, then why do they constantly push the narrative that another man ( let’s call him Feorge Goyd for the record) should be revered despite doing a lot worse than just speaking one’s mind and yet also lose their life in a horrific way too? Why is it that political violence against conservatives, Israelis and even moderates can be promoted and in fact encouraged openly by FA admin and yet the simple condemnation of what happened to Karlie Chirk be met with retribution by this pathetic admin?
Violence is stupid. Retribution against your supposed political enemies is stupid. RIP Karlie Chirk.
