KEYWORDS THE SEQUEL

BUMMER NEWS, MOTHERFRIENDERS!
I got a DM from FA saying some of my tags were removed due to inaccuracy, which I find particularly silly. I also find their warning that future infractions may beget penalization equally silly.
Allow me to explain:
There's an image of Mike engaging in fellatio. The image had the tags: "male human pokemon typhlosion penis cock tongue gay maw fellatio blowjob orgasm cum look at that smug boi right there"
No one is keyword searching "that" and getting flashbanged by this. No one is looking up "boi" and getting surprised to see a male character (though I find it hard to believe anyone is using the "boi" tag in general. And yet, the tags "that, boi, right, there" were all removed and I was notified of this change. They cite the following rule as the reason why:
Upload Policy, Section 1.2 - Submission Detail
Keywords, Ratings, Categories, Themes, and Species are used to define images as they appear in Fur Affinity's search engine. Abuse of these (misleading, inaccurate, or false) is not allowed. This does not apply to the Gender section. Submission file type should correspond to submission type. Intentionally listing inaccurate keywords in the description is not allowed.
My tags were not "misleading" anyone into seeing a different type of illustration; they were funny, but relevant. My tags were not "inaccurate"; they were part of a sentence which directly described the character's appearance. My tags were not "false" for the exact same reason as previously mentioned. I intentionally do not use tags which can be used as keywords for other fetishes specifically for this reason. For example: In an image of Mike eating food, I wouldn't say "look at this fat boi" in the tags, because I know "fat" would be commonly searched for as a fetish that my upload would not reflect.
I'm not going to step on FA's desire to want a more clean and understandable pool of tags, but don't come after me like I'm breaking a rule, guys. C'mon.
Anyway, if I get another message about it and they penalize me then I'll have to manually remove all the jokes from all of my uploads, despite them not breaking the rule as it was written. That would suck. I got rid of the ones for my new Nash folder, but I really don't wanna spend 30+ minute curating the rest of an online porn gallery because some overzealous staff member doesn't have a sense of humor.
18+ discussion ahead!

FA+

I'm like... when has FA or the mods ever deserved it? The keywords thing is something good they've done, but it's another system that they added years after other websites had it.
The issue isn't "grr, they have a standard", but rather "my stuff didn't break the rule as it's written".
"Intentionally listing inaccurate keywords in the description is not allowed."
They took out the four that didn't apply. Three of them are nothing-keywords, and "boi" has gender connotations that probably didn't match the other set tags. "Look" "At" can be considered perspective (I haven't seen the actually piece to have specific context for it), and "Smug" counts as an expression, so they let those stay.
We have differing opinions on "inaccuracy". I feel that jokingly putting "vore" on a post about having birthday cake would be inaccurate, whereas "nothing-keywords" - being words that no one looks up - don't contribute to "inaccuracy" because no one looks them up, and are especially harmless when used to humorously link actively helpful keywords. You feel that any words that are not actively helpful keywords are "inaccurate", which I get on a site like e6 where every tag has a specific folder/purpose, but less so here where everyone can make their own tags.
I'm cool with them wanting only helpful keywords! Just don't wanna rifle through four and a half years of posts. The post in question was three years old, fwiw. :\ Going forward, I can promise FA Staff that my posts will be far less silly.
I never really do joke tags but I'm hoping its just some overzealous mod. I know a few friends who do like to add them in time to time.
I would like just kindly suggest that you give at least a few seconds to imagine yourself to their position. They don't you (not even as much as I do), you're one of the millions user, and the CEO wants a cleanup by yesterday. Probably because of the piling up 'only safety' chaos, you may have heard about it too.
So, they're crazy now, not because they want to, but because they have to.
If the staff don't do what the CEO wants, they got sacked and they hire someone who does what the CEO wants, aka regulate everyone, including you.
I understand what's happening is a pain in the a#s. But, from their perspective, you're a potential threat. Not because you did anything wrong, but because other people did many things wrong, who are not you, but the FF stuff (probably) doesn't have time to go through all your history and get evidences to the CEO saying 'We can leave this guy alone, he has been nice since he has been registered'.
I just kindly ask you. Yes, those funny tags were nice, even I have good laugh at them.
There are other things you can add funny jokes, so you still can have funny joke.
So, please let the tags area go. I believe in that most staffs at FF try their best to satisfy both the CEO and the users, including you, who has no bad intention.
It's just so impossible to expect them to believe in you. Not because you have any sign of being a liar, but because real liars say the same as you do! 'I am innocent, don't punish me!'
I know you are nice, I experienced it, and I believe more other users as well. But a stuff member who has just seen your name doesn't know this. And they have to deal with probably hundreds of users or even more! By yesterday.
Sorry for the long bla-bla-bla I made here.
I just tried to... help you too see this thing isn't meant to be against you. It's acts like chemotherapy. It hurts those too who don't deserve it. Like you. Unfortunately.
That's why all my recent uploads have been without funny tags; I'm trying to work with the revamp of this system that they clearly want to create. If they came to me and said "Please update your tags in accordance with the new rules regarding the updated tag system," I would be frustrated, but I would have nothing to complain about. Treating something harmless like it's a legitimate infraction, especially when I can argue it doesn't technically break any rules, feels too strong.
Also, I'm not sure they really have a "CEO" in the way most companies do, hahah. ^^; I also don't see how "filing our tags better" would protect the site against censorship or government oversight, but I understand they want to make sure we're all safe here. That's why they make changes for images you can't post, not tags (I imagine).
But I also wanted to say something to you what might help you out the frustration, and not pushing you more deeper into it.
I really want to believe in the FF team has an understandable reason for this hasty and forceful pushing.
I bet that this quickly changing politics and the forming child-safety thing makes every media company, including FF, to go crazy with the getting ahead of any possible problem before they really become a problem.
To avoid what had happened to Steam, the gaming web-store.
But, yeah. I'm just guessing. I also want to believe that the version where the FF team has lost their mind is way much more less likely than the other option above. I really hope.
