Final update regarding art.
Last one was a bit of a ramble so made a more clear cut version.
After reflecting on things recently, I've made a clear decision: I will no longer create art for others. Time and again, I've poured my energy into meeting everyone else's needs, only to receive little in return. From now on, I’m setting boundaries—no more trades, requests, or suggestions. I deserve to invest my creativity where it’s appreciated and reciprocated.
To make matters worse, earlier this month, I nearly ended up homeless. When I reached out to these so-called "friends" because I was struggling mentally, their only response was to drop hints about what art they wanted me to create. That experience made me realize I need to prioritize my own well-being over the expectations of others.

So, you basically do need to either set a boundary, or make a specific expectation for anyone who plans to request/trade more than once (though setting a boundary tends to be easier to do)
I used to do requests for a while until one time I opened them for the springtime and I kept getting requested weird shit such as fetish art involving underaged preschool show characters. It dawned on me that ever since I opened up commissions, nobody would bother contacting me except for ONE person (which was 2 years ago), but when I open up art requests, a bunch of manbaby weirdos swarm in and go "CAN U DWAW DIS AEMPEEBEEYA KARACKTER WIF HRR BEAR FIIIT EGGSPOSED!?!?!?!?" I didn't necessarily care at the time about making friends, but it did bother me I was getting very little exposure outside of requests, so I officially shut them down for good, and haven't looked back.
I still remain open for trades occasionally but not always as I prefer to focus on my personal art. And to be perfectly honest, if you were to ever do art for others again, I would do it like 1-3 times a year. Being open 24/7 can lead to trouble.
Imo commissioning artists is more satisfying than requesting free art.
