Too late to change? (Again?)
When if first joined the fandom, I picked rat as my fursona because it as something you'd see in my living area, something that could run and maybe fight back, a style kind of like Sonic (one of my favorite characters) ...and something I "deserved" to be. I'm in a way better place mentally, now, but my fursona still makes me think of those days sometimes.
I really wan to move on from those feelings as much as possible, but changing a fursona isn't easy. At least for me. I've tried with Mono and Acerneos, but either I lose interest in the new themes or people don't respect the changes. Even when I changed the name to Daniel, people are still calling me Dak. So I have to just deal, right?
I've been wanting to switch to kangaroo or something for a while now, but I can't decide if It should be a transformed version of Daniel, a new character, or even bother in the first place. Don't get me wrong, rats are great, but I want a different mark on the world.
With the name at least a decade old, and how much I enjoy being a rebellious jerk in RP, It might be more trouble than it's worth...
What do you think? Should I stay or should I change? I know the decision SHOULD be mine, but any ideas on how to stick with it?

FA+

And don't worry, I still have plans for Dak. Like finishing his story. Maybe. lol
and idk seems no one noticed or questioned this lol
of course!! because of the fact I love TF I can make my character in the species or form that pleases me because let's say that in itself my character is just a human thing in the rawest form possible lmaoo
take this: whoever likes you accepts you as you are. If complains, it's because these was never your friend.
in other words my english is terrible and you are an amazing person just follow what you think is the best ★
Ah, jeeze, i forgot about how expensive robot-sonas can get. Will that affect the armor idea? Argh, so many factors!
And I understand well the issue of other artists drawing the character, mine, as simple as it may be, some people say it's difficult, so it all depends more on who you choose at that point, I think.... hmmm
But what matters is, you feel good about your character and not obliged to please others <3
That's one of the cores of furry fandom, right? Being the thing you want to be, unlike what reality or others set you as.
Well, honestly, I don't know, because I don't even know what makes you part of something, sign a contract or make a pact?
Because in the end I'm just the guy who draws for others LMAOO
And no, I didn't see a contract either! :)
and aye, no contract? so its mean freedom XDDDDD
Why not make it a bit of worldbuilding fun? You've done TFs before, maybe the roo is something like Booga from Tank Girl: some sort of Weird Science Thing slowly turns your Dak fursona into a mutant kangaroo or similar?
Also I could be wrong because there's like NO info on that that i can find except skeleton articles.
However, I'm referencing him mostly in terms of aesthetics, which match yours to a degree. It'd definitely fit in with a sort of cyberpunk future for weird TF stuff to happen.
Oh the robot thing's just a fling, unfortunately.
Though being a grey kangaroo people keep asking if I'm a wallaby or a Koala.
Also. Oof.
