Small Update - Gallery Changes, Data Loss
3 weeks ago
BREAKING KIBBY NEWS!
I made a similar small journal about this already but my gallery will be changing once more. Simply put, my scraps are going to get used properly for the division of filth/extreme kink art for the purposes of making my profile more watchable by friends and others who just aren't into it. So if you currently watch me, or don't but like my work, remove the scraps watching from my profile settings and you can better tailor your viewing experience of my work. That said, it's important to note, nothing is being removed. This is just so people can follow my work when they aren't into certain kinks. Doing this for your sakes and it's easier to do than making a brand new account. (FA doesn't really make it easy to swap accounts like other places.) In conjunction, I will still be dividing pics into folders for easy navigation as well, as I have been doing but probably get more granual and divide them by kink and such.
Now, the other sort of semi big thing to talk about. Windows sucks. What do I mean by that? Well...because of the whole issue with Windows 10 "end of life," happening this month, or better put, "the scare tactic," Microsoft tried to pull, I decided to take the free update to 11 just to not deal with it. As people who know me are aware, I don't like 11 and was happy on 10 especially since it is in juuuust the right sweet spot for compatibility and features that I like, and they even said at one point it would be the last OS but noooo, they wanted more MONEY and decided to do 11, so whatever, I queue the update, it looks all well and good, but low and behold! A CRITICAL ERROR.... It says there's not a valid boot device...Of course....and due to my haste and fear that my computer was bricked I try to get a flashdrive with a boot media on it to fix it, annnnnd nothing...it keeps flagging as if my comp can't run the installer, even after reformatting TWO of the drives in my comp, and even trying to downgrade back to Win10, nothing...took it to Micro Center and for some reason it just WORKED for them, and it was ready the next day to go through the normal set up process...yaaaay $80 to get gaslit by my own computer... Anyway, as you can surmise yourself, the two drives I wiped were my main data drives and ones I forgot that held aaaaalll my backlogged art including commissions, trades and gift art I have gotten over the years. You can imagine my devastation at this point, and it's only because of friends and my penchant for having multiple backups that I was able to recollect MOST of my work, not all of it, but luckily a lot of it was unfinished sketchwork that I have physical copies of. Also, none of my current work was lost due to them being saved on a separate device (my iPad since I use that for work these days.) so...mega phew...but it was really scary for awhile that most of my un-uploaded work just disappeared in one day. What does all this mean? Learn from this and back your shit up a bit better than me, yeah I had a backup but it's limited by storage capacity because Dropbox sucks and has a small storage limit for free accounts. It also means though, that I will be more diligent going forward and try to upload stuff as I get it so it doesn't disappear into the ether ever again.
Lastly, I wanna just kind of say how happy I have been lately. Not only has support from friends, chosen family and fans been really awesome lately, I recently got put on new meds that I very clearly needed years ago and being on them now completely changes things. I feel happier, more clear headed, more open minded, more focused....list goes on. Hopefully this is a bit of turning point where you can see me upload a bit more and have more interactions with all of you. Anyhoo, I've taken up enough of your time and will end it here, thanks for reading it all, and have a good day cuties.~ 🧡

Ooof, I feel that data loss. My entire 2017 commissions folder was just GONE after I needed to restore backups at one point. Apparently I forgot to back that particular folder up or it failed or something. Especially disappointing when someone came back to me and asked if I could edit one of their pics from that year.

OP
Yeah that's like my ultimate worry now, is if for some reason someone comes back for something like that, I will be so SoL. Not impossible I guess, but would be so much extra effort to do anything with. x.x I'm also just one of those people that likes keeping all his working files, so that really messed with me. I've gotten a lot of the finished works recovered thankfully, just need to save and backup a few more and eventually upload them!
