Very good quality on both, and they will last your for many years. Easily worn for hours with no issues.
On the open back side, I've enjoyed the Grado sr80x at 125$, though they have the 60x slightly cheaper, and nicer options available if you wish to spend more. Very nice, though at least for me not quite as comfortable with the drivers resting on the ears, but it may be different from you. Open back can be an upside or downside depending on your situation, given it lets the noise, bu a very different kind of sound the closed back headphones

Any of these will likely be a lot nicer than what you've had, and you might find yourself noticing stuff in your music that you haven't before :>

If on a budget, I suggest WH-CH520; they are about 40 bucks and have alright audio quality.

They are technically wireless but they have a 50h battery (personally I think it has way more) and fully recharge in less than an hour; so long as you have Bluetooth they can work.

I’ve been a fan of my ATH-M50x’s. I’ve had these for years, and save for needing to replace the ear cups (which wear out no matter what you do), they’re as good as they were the day I got them.

Can't go wrong with Audio Technica, there's a reason that it's the primary brand used by audiophiles. If you want a budget pair the ATH-M30x is great, I've had mine for about 4 years now and the only problem is the vinyl is starting to flake, otherwise it still has great sound, holds its charge fine, and the headset feature still works as decently as ever (so this one does have a mic, as a caveat). You can use them wired or wireless. If you're wanting a more bougie set I've heard good things about the ATH-AD500x, although I'm sure you can't go wrong with almost any model from them. If you're able to hold out a little while longer most tech brands like this have Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales so that would be a good time to browse. Good luck on your search!
