A week ago. Our dear Batty friend 
Wild-Roses Aka Echo Local lost her battle to cancer.
sense then i have been struggling to process this. it feels sureal. because we have lost friends to cancer befor and they always hit hard. but this one hits just alittle harder. because she had been with us for the longest time.
she was part of, one of the biggest games in our discord. and it was the longest running game we had going up until a few months ago when she reveiled to us she would be going into hospice care.
so time was against us to get the game finished. and we did.
heres just a few of her achivements. and moments id like to share here of her exploits.
first and formost she played 4 characters at Once
Sly the Goblin. Echo the bat. Echos sisters Sonar the paladin and Frostwing the Mana vamp barbarian.
somewhere in the start of the campange on the sister world she manages to piss off a hag into makeing a crude misjudgement and cast a spell to close that ended teh hags life instantly LOL.
She enterd a house belived to be haunted. only to discover that it was Filled with Mimics!
Her response was " Nope nope nope nope!" And proceeded to burn the house down XD. (previousely she attempted to appeal to some Mimic jewlery and offerd them to piggy back ride on her but they took this as an offering of a free meal and when they tryed to nibble at her. Echo Vaulted herself into a nearby Lake to drown the mimics LOL)
She even managed to tick off the Big Bad Lich Amarok, durning their first encounter with him. supposedly thats not supposed to happen because lichs are cold calculating but nothing says their without emotion. they just cant feel anything (its a curse afterall. not a blessing. remember that DMs)
she managed to bring orcs back into the world. and awaken a long time rage in the Orcs of Alteria.
alittle bit more on this. You see. Orcs were one fo teh looseing races in ALteria. they lost their home and had to move over into the kingdoms of Humans, elves and dwarfs and were forced to adib by their laws or sufferign sever punishment. One law stated they had to grind down or remove their tusks. (its a pretty dark place okay)
but And the details are alttle bit skectcy at the moment but Echo. had somehow found a way to reach deep into the orcish mindset. durning a speech reignite that orcish passions. she was the spark that brought back the orcs passion for living. and thus. created an army that held back Amaroks undead forces so we (the main party) could sneak in where Amarok had the most influence and dismantle his network of undead spys and lutentants.
Sly and Echo even were able to reconnect with a Lost tribe of Deep bats and help them reconnect with the world, so now there are tribes of bats in my world LOL.
Sly adn Echo also were able to reach the highest rank in the Red Ravens. a Mostly Gobline based Delivery system useing giant Ravens as their main mode of transporation. (They also excist in Aeon but thats a completely different matter).
The Red Ravens were also instrumental as air support durning the seige of Leron's gnomish capitol. allowing for Echo, Sonar and Sly to Sneak past the main force and ON THEIR OWN without telling anyone managed to face up against the undead councle of Lerons corrupt leaders. (She did this alot btw. running off on her own XDLOL such highjinks!))
Oh yes lets not forget the time that she Dream walked with the help of another Orc witch. and Snuck into Amaroks Tower!, and as a barely percivable phantom of herself, Convinced a Ratlign alchmist to turn her back on Amarok! Echo and Sly even managed to spy on Cindraga! Amaroks cheif lutentiant and dragoness mother to his abomination of a son Enokh!
She even went Back to the tower in another dream walker moment to taunt Amaroks other lutentiant (unintetionaly) Marrick the deathknight. but this was more to retreive the Bloodstoen that prevented Ark and his kin from entering ALteria.
Because Ark had been hunting Amarok for ages because Amarok had basicly destroyed Arks old tribe in Acheron! GAH! (Acheron being Alterias sister world. their connected by laylines)
My gosh this batty did so much! GAH hard to keep up with. theres still so much to go over and reminise. and Im sure my other players will perhaps toss in thier Own experiances. And this is just ONE GAME. she has another character (Whom i will have be playing as an NPC now) IN another game. ill have to get into soon enough.
this was a really big help. i feel alittle better now about thsi past week. just being able to talk about it because i havent shared much of the accual games. i problay should. i do what i can.
