Don't ever connect a 2025 laptop to a 2010 TV 😭
a month ago
I was today years old when I discovered that your screen drivers can go insane.
Context: I conected my laptop to an "old" TV we have in my house, with an hdmi cable.
We finished what we were doing, turned my pc off, disconected the hdmi and took my pc to draw (in private, bc, you know).
Long story short, when I turned it on, the screen went black after 5 seconds. 2 Hours of trying to fix it and I managed to fix it 😭
I was really close to formating and losing all of my files, including a lot of things I haven't posted and the files of commissions. If that hapened, I was probably going offline for a while 💀
Anyways, the moral of this story is "MAKE BACKUPS OF YOUR ART!"
(also, does anyone know a good cloud service to save my art? Like it saves a whole folder in my pc?)

I've seen Dropbox and Mega get used a lot (and Dropbox has a local folder mode if you want it), but might have issues with privacy. It's hard to beat an external USB hard drive for bulk storage, though, since a terabyte will run you only like $60, and if your PC gets bricked you can transfer it over to your new PC just fine
