question about NSFW / SFW versions of a character

you may know i'm ace, though i gaze as through a veil upon the greater world and wonder:
what is your take or interpretation of artistic nudity. elaboration:
Observation 1: a furry character is drawn in a NSFW context. nude
Observation 2: and later the character is drawn in a SFW context. let's say bowling with friends. nude
it's the same character, is it not?
so how does that work. do the parts vanish? are they still there but omitted (kinda awkward...) like when they omit nipples in anime?
I've heard different variants or timelines of the character (does this imply they don't have memory of the NSFW piece in the SFW one?)

yea I prefer null and it works with my alien biology for my characters
i was more wondering how the... let's call them cool tools, can vanish for characters in others arts! like they clearly had some in the nsfw upload yesterday, but today in the sfw pic they're null!
