Do I really need to yell every single time that the commisions are closed? Or you are gonna wait in "sleeping bags" like the guys waited at the gaming stores prior the release day of PS5?
I don't know. If other artists say their commisions are closed, from my experience nobody bugs them until they re-open them.

I admit, as a commissioner I have occasionally asked an artist if they are interested in a project *if* they have a regular history of actively taking on comms and haven't updated their profile in awhile, because I've noticed some artists perpetually say closed on their profile while they occasionally open comms on journals or telegram, and they forget to adjust the note on the profile. but like... you gotta read the room.
Asking right after a "comms are closed" journal is big brain five head maneuver (and by that I mean not wise lol)
Edit: hell, my profile unambiguously says I never open for comms, and I have no history of taking them, and I have a huge disclaimer in red saying so, and post footers saying comms are closed, and people still try to ask me if I am open for comms
