Are you a furry?
Are you a furry? It might seem like a simple question. You're here on Fur Affinity, so obviously you must be. But I've noticed some furry artists who don't consider themselves to be furries. So I'm curious, how do you see yourself? Whether you're an artist, writer, musician, poet, or simply a lurker who just likes seeing what this site has to offer, I want to know how you see yourself.
Personally, I do consider myself a furry. I draw furry art. I have a fursona. But I don't go to conventions. I don't have a fursuit. I don't roleplay. Other than my spouse, I haven't told anyone IRL that I'm a furry. And most of my inspiration comes from mainstream media. Cartoons, movies, video games, comics. Does simply liking Zootopia make you a furry?
So, now I want to know, do you consider yourself a furry? Why or why not? How invested in the fandom does one need to be before they can call themselves a furry? Let me know in the comments.

As far as I know, there's no right or wrong way to be a furry. Whether you organize a whole indie project or lurk in the sidelines and quietly admire other artists' work, you can be a furry any way you want. As long as you're not hurting anyone. There is still a wrong way to be a person.
I explain myself, I think being a furry is more a way of living than anything else, they have fursonas, because they really want to be like them, they work to be like an animal or anthro, is more a feeling inside, a passion, drawing or consume furry art can be part of it, but not all, there are furries that don't know how to draw.
I like furry art, I have a fursona too, I draw 'furry', but I don't desire to turn into an animal or live like one, I just enjoy their culture, and that's about it, so I don't really considerate myself a furry.
I feel it's a bit like joining most fandoms at first, I'd just say go and learn about it at your own pace.
So I guess I’m a furry or something? Though I agree with Sparkpad said
There is the term furfan which is used for more general fans and artists of furry characters, I might identify with that term
Converted by all the best porn. Drawing means you don't have to adhere to a boundary of realism, yet it's mainly furries who are willing to get weird with it.
I do think that one should support furry artists but thats me
what can i say to artists to show how much i support them
