Ditching DeviantArt.
Kinda feels like the end of an era, honestly.
I've stored all of my submissions on DeviantArt and canceled my Core membership as of today. I spent 18 years on the site under a few different usernames, with my current one being active the longest out of them all. I tried to see things through after the introduction of Eclipse and the stupid tripe with AI "art" being allowed, but I've decided at this point that the site is no longer worth my time or money for a multitude of reasons. Other than AI slop being rampant and Eclipse being a shit-show ever since its inception, there's the problem with art theft and various scams being more rampant than ever. Never had to deal with art theft and tracers up until this year... and I'm not comfortable having to provide personal info like my name and location just to have stolen work removed. I'm also just really sick of bots popping up in the Chat section to try scamming me in one way or another. If it's not some dumbass asking to use my art in a supposed mural, then it's someone posing as DeviantArt's support team trying to gain access to my account.
DeviantArt was my introduction to art communities in general back in 2007, when I was an 11 year-old shithead who was WAY too young to have even joined (it's a wonder I was never banned, given my age at the time). I met a lot of cool people and followed lots of different artists. Lots of people I knew have come and gone, and most of them have moved on to other places... and understandably so. DeviantArt has always kinda been a shithole, but it feels like it's only gotten worse within the last 5 years.
I'm not deactivating my account there. My account will remain active, but I will only be using it to browse, fave and comment on stuff, to use Sta.sh as an archive for all of my old art from the last 14 years, and to keep in contact with friends who refuse to go anywhere else. But from today going forward, I will no longer be uploading anything new.

I stopped uploading art on Deviantart last year, I felt like I was on a ghost social media, because everyone I know has left Deviantart, I don't plan on deactivating my account yet either, I have great art that I made for years, it will help me redraw

OP
I feel the same way. Most people who used to follow me on DeviantArt ended up leaving, so most of what I post just kinda goes unseen. Even groups on DeviantArt seem kinda like ghost towns now.
