2026 Update and going forward

Hey. So, 2026 is coming up fast and I’ve been reflecting a lot on where I’m at in life and where I’d like to be, including art related. I’ve grown tired of chasing the same unknown thing with my work so I’m making some big changes.
1. What I’ve done so far- I’ve overhauled my furaffinity gallery to my favorite and most recent drawings. I’ve also deleted my old bluesky and started fresh with a new one strictly for art. I’ve also deleted my telegram group but may make a new one in the future. I may become active on new grounds or some other art site in the future.
2. Why?- basically, I’m tired of furries. I’m tired of seeing the same kind of art and tired of trying to cater to an audience that couldn’t care less about my work. That being said, I am really appreciative of the people who do like my stuff and have been following me for a long time. I want to continue drawing cartoon animals but not necessarily “furry” art. Im not interested in pursuing fetish art, either.
3. After I finish what I owe now I do not want to take commissions ever. I’ve been doing them for several years now and I’m done with always having work to do for others. I think I’m stable enough to go on without taking on more work and on top of that I am just busy with my day job, pets, family, and life. With the holidays coming up I’m barely going to have time for anything and that alone is stressful and makes me feel super guilty about late work. I don’t want to do this anymore. If I do art or suit stuff for others it’ll be gifts for friends.
4. I want to expand more on black and white, pen and ink type work. I low key hate digital art and I hate coloring. Idk why I’m still trying to make myself work in that medium. To conform, I guess? Most people aren’t impressed, anyway.
5. I still want to make costumes and maybe even soft sculptures in the future. I like sewing, I mostly struggle to find time for it lately for reasons stated above.
