Time is Money

In America, they used to say that time is money a lot back then. I don't know about today, but the idea that time is money is an extremely valuable lesson. But these days in any part of the world, planning ahead is more important than instant gratification.
Gaming is fun, and gaming laptops are cool, but technology is rapidly evolving. Not to mention in the world of furry, it seems that furries are more interested in art and fursuits than gaming computers, especially in a furry convention setting. People want to see anthropomorphic animals, especially fursuiters. And of course there are the dance competitions for fursuiters to show off.
I still see gaming computers and laptops as luxuries, and they are amazing. Quite a few furries use VRChat and I thought about that, but to me it seems programs like VRChat are more fun when the weather is bad. Texas for example is prone to constant bad weather, especially rain. But when you are in an area where the weather is nice often and you have a decent job at minimum, you would want to go out and explore to find public events or furmeets.
I talk about this because some people want to have everything because they think they look cooler that way and they want to have the most fun as possible by having it all, which I'm not sure if this is how this works. In a furry convention, nobody is going to care if you have a gaming laptop when furries and parties are the centerpieces of those conventions. A friend of mine told me about a person, who was his hotel roommate, who would spend all day playing VRChat on his laptop in the hotel room while other furries are exploring the con and hanging out together. Sounds like a waste of time and money there.
When I pay money to attend a furcon, I want to explore, check out the dealers den to see if what they have enhances my fursuiting experience, has merch that catches my eyes, or even art that catches my eyes. And of course, prepare for a fursuit dance comp. I'm not just paying for my own room on-site, but also for the furry convention experience.
I like virtual worlds because we get to see our fursonas come to life in an online medium. But most of the time in them, like VRChat for example, from my understanding, it's just talking to other people and doing skits. So me getting a gaming laptop would be way later down the line.
I just wished more people understood the concept of time being money because to me, that's how it helps me maximize my enjoyment in life as much as possible. Understanding that time is money also helps one get their priorities together more. Life teaches a lot of things.

And it's better to learn that the earlier you can, cause then later you might realize "shit, what have i been doing with my time?"

OP
Exactly. I know at least one furry who has no concept of money and prefers tricking people into giving him money instead of working for it. It's pathetic and worst of all, I don't know how to answer this question: How come the unemployed person gets to have all the stuff you would work for free? (Especially gaming computers.)
