Illness sucks.

I haven't slept properly in a week. The whole house came down with some horrendous cold/flu thing that's hit the entire family. But, just to add insult to injury, the last two days have seen a vicious colitis flare that's meant I haven't eaten and barely slept in over 48 hours. Getting by on sips of water and hoping the steroids will calm this the fuck down so I can at least get some goddamn sleep.

I remember your "venting incident".
We were sitting quietly in the living room with the telly off. You were reading, and I was on my laptop, when something in the room went "PFWEEEeeee!"
I looked up at you, and you'd turned dreadfully pale, with an expression like you'd just re-enacted that tracker extraction scene from The Running Man, where Quaid pulls a pingpong ball out of his nose.
"Was that your head?!" I asked incredulously.
You could only respond with a groaning sigh of agony.
