In 2015 people in the west mocked and laughed at the Chinese "Civil Scoring System" and usage of Cameras with facial recognition, while celebrating and expressing their "freedom and rights" in a "progressive society", that respects your statues and amendments that your great great ancestors fought for generations ago.

And here we are today, people literally volunteer to give their information in order to use a product that was purchased by their hard earned money. Normalize the empowerment of government surveillance because it's "politically correct" and "reduces the crime".

When you stand for privacy nowadays you get labelled as "Libtard" , "Anarchist", "Nihilistic", "Radical" , "Woke", "Paranoid".

I really miss the time when there were more people who cared about fighting back against this stuff. It was still a "conspiracy theorist" minority back in the early 2010s and before but now most of that stuff actually happened and it's like that minority is even smaller now. I'm still not putting all of my information on the internet or going to use things like streaming services and that's never going to change.

It's no longer a "conspiracy" the only difference between back then and today is people heavily rely on social media such as Twitter, Facebook , Tiktok.
to tell them what is is morally correct and incorrect and what is politically correct or not, as a result many lack critical thinking abilities, and just follow what that "influencer" is saying and is fighting for regardless if it benefits them or not.

Even a certain crazy lunatic governor (I don't want to mention his name here) That the American and UK government seems to love paying them like a paypig despite them literally openly practicing something that the world is condemning for more than 60 years now, is now hinting live IN TV that they need to target Media and Internet,
"We censorship to protect us" blaming independent journalists and "wokeness" on TV + Social Media. (And it's already happening, YouTube is terminating accounts that criticizes this man).

It will get even worse in the future since people are becoming even more reliant on AI platforms. Stinky Smelly Musky Billionaire Boy with Open AI has proven that they can change and train LLMs on the whim, to shift it's political agenda.

Not even 5 years have passed with LLMs (Large language model) technology and here we are people literally using "AI" to see what is morally correct thing to do or believe VS not. Even though they are just merely a prediction tool, A pattern recognition tool combined with search engine features in some of them along side advanced Natural language processing features.

Also, somewhat related, I understand that the Feds also use the Predator or Global Hawk drones to identify protestors from approximately 30k ft. Apparently the cameras are good enough now to capture face details from that high up. This was done during the recent California riots. Surface level ALPR cameras are most likely confirming the biometric data (some ALPR's have "upgrades" to track people as well).

Hoping to find a privacy rights group to join and push back. There's a possibility that some of the groups have been infiltrated by feds and neutered, but I'm seeing some citizens gain ground on the East Coast against the cameras in court.** With that, it seems like there's still a chance.

** Government had said that there is no expectation of privacy in public spaces, so that makes cameras okay. Citizens argued that they should have access to the camera data then. Government panicked and tried to argue that it wasn't so. Citizens won anyway, so the cameras were ordered to be turned off instead of sharing the data with citizens.
