Portable digital drawing pad?

Or, whatever the proper name is.
I struggle with technology, but I’ve wanted to learn how to use digital art programs (Krita, CS Pro, PS, etc) so that I can get back into drawing. How did you learn to use the programs that you use? YouTube? Online courses? Etc?
Black Friday is coming up and I want to get a drawing pad that I can take with me. That way I can doodle or test out features on art programs on the go. I really need to practice!
Do you have any recommendations for tutorials? Any recommendations for drawing pads? Doesn’t have to be top of the line, but preferably one that could last a while and do what I need.

iPad Pros with an Apple Pencil are nice! Quite fluid. Procreate would likely be the art program.

Thanks! I’m leaning towards iPad as well :> And the tutorials for Procreate seem fairly straightforward
