If you're looking for a screenless tablet: I'd personally recommend Huion. They are SO good and for such a good price. They have a huge variety of sizes and types, but honestly any will do. I have an HS64 and it's served me super well, they go for ~30USD, but they are pretty tiny if that's a downside for you!

If you're looking for a pen display/one with a screen, I'd recommend Huion or XPpen. Sadly I don't have experience with screen tablets, but I can link you some review videos if you like!

With screen tablets, I've had a pretty good time with XPPen, their newer models also fix the very VERY slight misalignment between pen tip and mapped point that mine has. I've since moved from it to an iPad.

There is obviously Wacom, but I feel like the small lead in quality they have over XPPen and Huion does not justify the price.
