Looking for Eldritch/Wyrd/General Monster Ideas

General
im sorry I never say thanks for faving my picks and stuff but thanks guys im sorry I don't have the time to say thanks so thank you all
So recently the animal my OC is based off of, the pied bat, had a bit of a scientific update, we've only seen a handful so its not really a surprise
However im having a bit of trouble updating sickle, while still keeping the eldritch abomination vibes
So i figured ide ask for some idea suggestions, just stuff that gets the noggin working
So what are some of yalls favorite monstery physical features
Rather it be eldritch, body horror, wyrd, ect
All ive got right now is tendril wings and im not even sure that would look good lol, so any ideas are appreciated
Have a good one, and stay spooky :3

Are you more a fan of the xenomorph kind or kinda that kinda looks liek a sharks mouth with all the extra teeth
Currently ive been playing around with fleshy, tendrily wings, like the wings and for limbs made of that stuff like twisted around itself to give the proper wing shape
Which i think could be neat but everything is still very much a WIP
That all being said i really like the sonic screams idea, and i think that's getting yoinked :3, maybe have them generate static too
Limbs rotating in directions they aren't supposed to is always fun.
I definitely second luci's suggestion, inner rows of teeth, inner/extending mouths and general throat being something it isn't supposed to be is always a good direction!
Using secretions to form membranes for the wings might be interesting, like slime wings with tendril fingers, but that also might be hard to draw. Insectoid limbs where there aren't supposed to be any is also an instant win, so something like the 'fingers' of the wing being spider legs might be legit.
Eyes, or a lack thereof, bats are blind, so that could be worth playing with... Something like eyes IN the ears or on the backs of the ears, while having no or minimal suggestion of "main eyes" could work to ramp up the spooky factor a good deal...
Going for a messed up body plan outline could also add a lot, just going "What if I tried to fit a bat into a manta ray shape or vice versa like something was trying but got it very wrong" could result in some neat outcomes overall!
I think that's all I've got in me off the top of my head but I hope some of it is helpful!
Between the two of you these are some amazing ideas for me to play around with
Been playing with the teeth idea a couple of hours and yeah i definitely think i can work with that
Time to play around with these and see what i can some up with :3
