ive been off Twitter for the most part for a couple years. i mostly use it now just because the national weather service posts their alerts and stuff on there XD

that and info for videogames (and some NSFW). i havent actually posted or interacted with stuff on their in a good while tho

I've been trying to avoid text-only posts and looking for NSFW stuff. Today is another failure at that and I got sucked into a vortex of pretty obvious rage bait again.

I never liked Twitter even in its heyday. Though I've had similar frustrations trying to get all my deviantART watchers to follow me over here and on Weasyl when I stopped using that site over five years ago. There are STILL hundreds of people who follow me there and simply won't follow me anywhere else no matter how many "FOLLOW ME ELSEWHERE!" reminders I post there so I kind of just had to accept that I won't be hearing from those people anymore.

There's a lot of good NSFW that's so much easier to access on Twitter.

What you say about moving accounts is the reasons why I've been so hesitant to post elsewhere. A lot of work but my audience is here.

It never hurts to have gallery back-ups on smaller websites, that's why I also post to Weasyl.

what helped me quit it was removing the app from my phone for one, and clearing it out of my browser history so i wasnt autopiloting to it when bored. or just even logging out helps tbh since its only visible to logged in users now

theres a lot of porn friendly servers on the fediverse but i understand it's also a little over folks' heads to sign up (or find the right server for themselves) but since im closer to ace than fully gay i wasnt affected as much by this issue x.x

Been on Bluesky since they were invite-only. I'm having a hard time with scroll-only sites and my mindset, so I dunno how well it works for me.

Also I have a hard time figuring out what I want to post of my old stuff.
