That beaver content creator was all over that movie.
But the new character were used as much as the side characters from the first movie.

yeah but it's not just a matter of screentime but how they're used. The side characters in one were still moving the plot forward (Bogo, Lionheart, Bellweather) or being affected by it (Clawhauser). Here, the cops are basically just goons to avoid, the villains just hang in the back being rich and evil, the mayor is mostly a reason to let the villains exposition dump, Gary is mostly a plot device.

Really glad to hear someone say this because I very much agree! Absolutely enjoyed it all the way through, but there are many things about the plot that irk me and I think could have been done way better. But most of my friends don't want to hear it.

Yeah like I'm not trying to be a debbie downer, I did enjoy it but I'm a lil surprised at how many people are just absolutely LOVING it, and like hey more power to 'em! It's on track to be an absolute nuclear level blockbuster so.. great! But yeah I just can't ignore the movie's flaws. Especially how many folks see the movie and still giving googly eyes over Pawbert. Which, I get, I wanna love him so much more, but he got done so dirty without any redemption. But yeah, I'm glad folks are happy with it and it's pretty much guaranteed we'll see 3.

Yeah I feel the same way! Had a nice long discussion with a friend that really reminded me of a bunch of places I feel the plot was letdown. Such as the dropped plot thread of Nick having a fear of reptiles, which I thought would have been really interesting to explore.

After watching the movie I did not expect all the Pawpert love... but I'm not too mad at it lol.
