Ratings on Journals? You're kidding right?

So apparently the staff of FA decided now journals are now having the same age ratings as submissions.
Wow, a feature that is completely pointless and one that let's be honest is pretty open to abuse. You know, the whole "I disagree so I am gonna flag your post" users, you know the dumb crowd I am talking about.
This was not thought through at all, all it means is more work for the mods, just for giggles I was thinking of making this an adult only post as satire, but decided against it. How did this get pushed through at all? A better system would be allowing short videos and animations to be posted and not just gifs. The rating system already works as intended, let's be realistic and say what this is, pointless filler and bloat, adding an extra step to a system that didn't need it in the first place.
Not only that, this has also resulted in many users having broken links as well. Not entirely sure what the reasoning is, but this is pretty pathetic, stupid and lame. What is the blasted logic? And for those praising this I have a question, what is there to clap at? It just adds pointless responsability onto the users.
This is being advertised as a solid feature when in actuality this basically a layer of pointless bubble wrap with this whole notion if I had to guess: https://youtu.be/uL-jvKmhrw0?si=g7YLltjbAEsBMyi1
And to that I say is anyone else tired of this just in general? Now correct me if I am wrong, but let's say you make an FA journal that leads to adult content anywhere on FA, based on the users own settings it won't go to said page. Heck unless you are logged in and have said settings you cant view mature and adult content at all.
Journals are used on FA for the same reason as anywhere else, like advertising an art raffle to getting their thoughts out there and announcments, very basic things. What's next? Tags for journals just to clutter the blasted search results?
This so-called feature serves no purpose, only a means to do some window dressing as a way of saying "Hey look, we did something" without actually doing really anything. Look at this with common sense, the systems are already in place. I really am failing to see the logic here.

Think of this:
Not one wants to read hook up journals or about how badly you want to get fucked, but non fictional sex content is everywhere here. Plenty of people are just here for the art and sfw contents. I dont want to expose my watchers to dark themes in the medical industry I work in, so I dont even write journals here anymore. Do you know how draining that is? Try being a respectful person about others for a moment and know that there are other people who would rather not speak at all than bother to work someone up on accident about graphic hemmoragic stroke details. Its a real boner kill for both sides of the street.
Mocking people who wish to avoid explicit content is rude, always. A system to rate journals is literally harmless, and I lose respect for those who bitch about it. Broken links? I honestly dont care if my own stuff is ripped to shreds. It is so pointless to care about this shit when vile gang rapists traumatize people out of even looking at sexual content, just want to look at furry art, turn on "sfw" and you can still find journals under the old system that brag about how hot it is to rape people and that they wish it was legal--thinking that their FA is obscure enough and no one really reads their journals.
Do you want to know how that must feel for some people? I dont need to have had it happen to me for there to be empathy. I am not sorry to say that people avoiding traumatic topics and curating their online experience will always matter more than 3 harmless letters on a title. If people bitch hard enough and they remove it, I do blame everyone involved for making this enviroment worse for accessibility concerns. None of you would survive in long term Healthcare work. : /
