Therapist update
General
Good news, a few weeks ago I was able to find a therapist after all. Turns out the LCSW therapist I found on Psychology Today does actually accept my insurance~
I filled out all the digital paperwork and forms and made sure I included as much information as I could about my mental background. It was somewhat lengthy but worth it as it's nice to have my therapist know as much as she already can before the sessions can even start. I already had my first session with her a couple of weeks ago and will have my next in a couple of days (we skipped a week due to Thanksgiving).
I've forgotten how short these sessions can feel when you try to explain away what's bothering you and I feel like I only skimmed the surface so I'm trying to find ways to make my sessions efficient by writing down my negative feelings as I feel them...which inconviently happens to be in mostly mornings...when I'm at work taking care of plants at a megamall XP So along with writing stuff down, I also try to record my teary-eyed monologues with my phone, which definitely captures my thoughts and emotions as they come freely and naturally, but the downside is I need a private space and considering I work in a mall...it's quite difficult.
But hey, I'm now seeing a therapist finally and I'm hoping this one is far better than all the other ones I've seen in the past. I'm confident I'm seeing the right type of therapist as she's an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) as opposed to a PHD therapist who just listens and "researches". Wish me luck, guys~
