There were very slim pickings these two weeks unless you want to read more ads for the Razer Basilisk gaming mouse or strategies for getting and trading the Cockatrice in Grow a Garden.

But I did find a few things (or had someone point them out to me) that were interesting.

Someone on reddit was trying to remember a D&D module they (savantes18161) had played. No link, just the post:

The D&D party was hired to slay a cockatrice, but encountering it discovered it was actually a kobold in a cockatrice costume. The party learned that the kobolds has been driven from their home by goblins, who they went to confront, at which point the goblin leader unleashed their ultimate weapon - an actual cockatrice.

Hope the cockatrice was well-compensated for its services!


I've been bumming around Second Life again and someone did a little bit of research for me and found a purpose for saving my Lindens:

Cockatrice Mask and the body that goes with it. Chicken boobs aside, I think I could make this work.


Another semester is just about down the drain...er, just about finished. Really looking forward to vacation time. Even though someone mentioned that his birthday was supposed to be a non-event, I got something he might like. I randomly ran into a few people I hadn't spoken with in several weeks at least (on one case, several years) and caught up with them. Long weekends towards the end of the year are great but I'm hoping winter break will be better.

I finished my AI evaluation "side job" (which will help pay for the hot water heater replacement that unexpectedly came up earlier last month). My evaluation is that I don't have much to worry about from AI taking my job. Yet.
