Burnout and Commissions...

General
For a VERY long time, my artistic life has been a constant ouroboros of me doing comms, getting ideas I wanna make for myself, not wanting to make them when I have comms to do, and then not being motivated to do comms because I'm not making stuff for myself. I'm always stressed, doing art is a chore, and I'm not having fun. I cannot seriously remember the last time I did something for fun, which is honestly a bit sad.
Needless to say, I will be pausing comms until further notice after my upload tomorrow. Trade school is coming up next year, and I want to take time for both that and to explore new ideas. I'd really like to take time to look at learning something new, maybe some animations. Go back to the things I used to post, like vore and big butts and donuts. Hell, maybe even some new fetishes and topics for once! I'm just fiending for a change, a little variety, and I think that helps when there is no queue to constantly have on my mind. I'm hitting a complete wall in both my ability and improvement at this rate because I can't explore anything, and that's a key to the artistic process that you need in order to succeed.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you all understand.

Have you tried to make like... Very small stuff for yourself in between coms or stuff you wanna do, to kinda "breathe" artistically? Or is it too hard because of the vicious cycle you wrote above?
Lately, I've also realized that I've only been taking on commissions because I'm afraid to make something of my own that might totally flop and cause people to leave. It's so much easier to explain to myself that it's not my fault if something fails, you know?
Do take good care of yourself big guy!!!
