Don't know if anyone will see this, and I don't want to sound whiny or anything, but recently I was scammed out of a commission. I don't want to say the person's name because I'm pretty sure it was a throwaway account they used, but all you really need to know is that they commissioned me for a fairly complicated 3,000 word story (roughly $45 worth), then blocked me and their profile went dark once I finished it and started to ask for their thoughts on the final result. I was admittedly really counting on the money from the payment, and now that I know I'm pretty much never going to get it, it really feels like a total waste of time and effort. I'm not asking for much, or anything at all, just maybe a little pity, and I'm just letting you all know from now on I'll be charging half up front for commissions over $30 from people that haven't commissioned me before.
