Hiya, it's been a bit (Dec. 2025 update)

Herru everyone ^w^! It's me again, Jeffery :3
Hellu everyone,
I want to first start this journal off by explaining why it's been so long. So, to make a long story short, a lot has happened over the span of this year, some things worse than others. First off, let's focus on some of the better things, and then we'll get to the other stuff. First, I went to my first furmeet back in June. I also went to the ones in July and maybe September (it was either August or September). I was also able to go to the one in October, and may be going to the one this month. This definitely helps with not being able to go to conventions, in my opinion.
Second, I managed to get into college, and I'm almost done with my first semester. It actually reminds me of when I was in high school, when I started conceptualizing Jeffery's design and drawing him and Keter all the time. Speaking of, Jeffery is now ten years old! That's right, my first fursona has hit his 10th anniversary. To celebrate this, I thought of doing some art ideas I had in mind for him, such as an old vs. new design (as his original design does not look like what I look like), and plus, Jeffery's design has fluctuated (even if subtly) over the years. Back to getting into college, I've been doing well so far, and I might have an idea of what I wanna do, but I'm still not entirely sure. I thought maybe I want to do something in the field of rocket engineering or maybe aviation (if, of course, it's cargo, and the plane has to be maintained properly, I wanna land in the same orientation as when I got on).
Third, I got my paws on some angy paws arm warmers and socks! They're definitely the best pair of socks I own. As for the arm warmers, they're really nice, especially when I go suiting and don't want my hooman arms showing or to have to wear my fur jacket when it's super hot outside.
Now I'm going to gloss over all of what has happened since March and try to summarize it all. All was fine in April, up until the end (it's a matter I'd rather not explain, but I'll mention it did happen). May was the pre-empt to the hurricane that was to come. June was when everything started going downhill and fast. My father, in June, had a heart-related problem, which later in July became worse, and he had to be given an angioplasty to have a stent put in one of his major arteries. August wasn't any better, as my dad, after having high blood pressure issues and heart problems, then had yet another health issue (of which I won't say, but rather mention that it happened). September was good for Megaplex, but half of my con this year was awful and caused me to have an anxiety attack in my room. For one, I got a suit at the con from someone, and I later regretted the decision. The character is nice, and his suit is quite comfortable, but he's hard to walk in; buying him was not ideal for my finances, I kinda felt pressured into buying him, and overall, I have no room for him. I've contemplated selling him, but if I do, I'm selling him for the price I paid, and also, all sales would be final on him (granted, of course, once he's shipped). I also want to sell him to the right person, and that's usually the hardest part of it all. I do still feel conflicted on selling him, however, as I renamed him Kepler, I don't want to give him to the wrong person, and one of the main reasons I thought of selling him was mainly based on how much space I have. I might sell him, but I don't know yet.
Kinda got off track from everything, but after Megaplex, my work started cutting my hours, which meant less money when I expected more hours due to the holidays. When that didn't happen, it made me feel even worse about spending the money I did on Kepler. Then let's just say there was a complication with my college that was resolved, but annoyingly. Anyhow, in October once more, I had yet another flurry of episodes of anxiety, as well as yet another full-blown anxiety attack. Then in November, it started off ok, which I felt was the start of the sunlight through the clouds, but the storm I was dealing with just had to give one last torrential downpour, where now my mom may have health issues, and the week of Thanksgiving was anything but comfortable. It was as if only after Thanksgiving things started to get better by leaps and bounds (such as my dad getting out of his current job, which has been plaguing his health, aside from underlying hereditary heart issues).
On a side note to add to what I've dealt with over the last few months, I've yet to get a fully finished fursuit from my maker, and it's been over a year, over a year and a half now, and I'm about ready to pull the plug on her. I received my handpaws, feetpaws, and tail. My dad had a chat with her at Megaplex (as I wasn't in my right mind to do so) and said she had until October 3rd to have everything finished and shipped, and that if she needed extra time, my dad would be willing to give her until October 10th. He also stated that he did not want this to escalate further, but considering how this has gone thus far, he's willing to do so. I am of a similar mindset, but I also thought of giving her even more time and saying if my suit isn't finished and sent by year's end, then I'll be seeking a refund for whatever isn't completed. At this point, I feel there is absolutely no excuse; it doesn't take two years to work on a fursuit. The longest I've seen a suit take is a year and a half (not including queue times). Considering I wasn't that far back in her queue, in my opinion is no plausible excuse for this. I may plan to get fursuit parts from her at cons, or if I feel the need to buy one from her store, such as head bases and eyes, then I'll consider it. However, for the foreseeable future, I cannot confidently recommend this maker or even think of commissioning her for anything again. I unfortunately learned the hard way, and I'd only hope no one else would have to.
Now, to kind of segway from all that, I still plan on uploading some art I've drawn in the time it's been since I last uploaded. I still would like to do the fun idea I have for Jeffery, that being "The year of Jeffery", celebrating his 10th anniversary. I also would like to mention that my comic "The Origin of Keter Husky" is gonna have to be severely changed from its source material in terms of tone and how the next section is covered. I don't mean to change the original source material from the story, but I also cannot in good conscience depict this next section (It's too much and too violent, I wrote this when I was in high school, and I really liked dark, edgy storytelling back then and thought to "push the envelope" story-wise). Basically, the part with the robber in the story has to be modified via focus shift, and the part of the story where Keter is bullied and treated horribly will have to be tweaked. I will not change the original source material, but I also won't follow it fully to the letter.
Along with this, I had some ideas for more comics I would like to draw, such as Sirus'es comic, Fenrir's comic (which is a take on Ragnarok), possibly redoing "Jeffery the Seven Tails" where Jeffery and Tsuki merge into one being and slowly transform, and a few others I'm working the details out on. I still plan on hopefully learning animation, but I will say my college has a disappointing course list (in my opinion). Not much in terms of animation, art, or anything that would be a fun class. Instead, it's mostly law and medicine, one of which I will never do and the other I may or may not pursue (Law being the one I may pursue, I'm too squeamish for medical stuff ;w;).
Well, that's all for now, as I think I covered everything update-wise. I'll be uploading some art here when possible, and more to come, especially the "year of Jeffery" celebration artworks. Thank you all for being here, and I will see all of you in the next journal/submission :3
