(Rant) Does anyone just feel like everything is a scam?

I’m 31 years old and I swear I’m rather demoralized by how it feels like modern society is just some moneymaking scheme now ?
Everything feels off. Both on the internet and real life. Everyone wants your money or your limited attention. And not in a way that is reasonable.
Social media is full of ads. YouTube is full of ads. Every webpage on the entire internet has so many glitchy advertisements that everything is unreadable.
Everything requires your email. Everything requires making an account. Everything wants your phone number. Everything is a subscription with three tiers.
Oh thank you for signing up for our service online it took only three minutes. Oh whaaaaatt you wanna cancel your subscription? Sorry jack imma need you to write an email and talk to someone in India to cancel your subscription. Why can’t you just cancel online like you did to sign up? Because fuck you give us your money.
My car dealership keeps trying to sell me a 800$ “tire alignment” every time I go there. The wheels are perfectly straight. This car is brand new. They want to sell me a 1600$ “air conditioner de molder flush” every time I change my oil. The ac is fine.
I’ve received over 120 phone calls this month. Three calls were from actual people I know. The rest were spam or scam calls.
Half the internet is ai slop. The rest is human made clickbait/ragebait. Companies have shoehorned gambling into everything. A local ice cream shop I like has two sketchy sports gambling dens next to it now.
I’m tired. The world feels so disingenuous. I was taught growing up that being honest is rewarded.
But now? It feels like being dishonest is the true path to success. Because truthful people are burdened by the weight of their diligence, while assholes can fake everything and run away to the hills when people realize they are being scammed. Or better yet buy out the lawmakers so they can do what they want without consequences.
Anyway… rant over. I just wanted to rant because otherwise I feel like I’m going nutty lol.

Another? We assumed that the freer the freedom, the freer the people (paradoxically, that statement is becoming deadly false).
A third? We assumed that technology (and the understanding of the universe it implies) doesn't determine practically everything.
We're going authoritarian because the environment ensures it, unless you want law enforcement to use the G-word as a law enforcement tool...
But I do appreciate your limited attention when you give it though.
It's like a videogame that used to be fun and diverse when it was new but then spreadsheet gamers found out the optimal strategies and it becomes boring, unfun and oppressive real quick. And once the devs start taking these strategies for granted and balance around them rather than trying to patch them out, hope is truly lost.
And IRL you can't just quit and play a different game, unfortunately.
