All I can really say is that starting small is what I've seen others do when starting out with comms. Like, not taking too many comms at once.

Thank you! I'd definitely would not take too many of them, Im already a slow drawer, I don't want people waiting forever for a simple piece lmfao.

With what you have in terms of style and art... You can EASILY charge around 25-30$ per full body character with 10$ or so on top for nsfw (assuming the character is not hyper complicated). Can charge lower prices for headshots/bustshots. Ex: 10 for head, 15 for bust.

Anything animated i'd advise against it unless you want the big bucks and can comfortably do so, just be ready to deal with impatient people. You can charge for detailed backgrounds, while simpler are at a far lower cost, up to you there.

Don't make a mistake some friends of mine do and immediately open up a lot of slots for comms. You WILL be swamped and burnt out easily. Try to find some balance in drawing the commission and taking breaks. Just don't keep someone waiting for an absurd amount of time, example a year or close to it.

This is my opinion of the matter, however it would be wise to gather more information from other people.

I was thinking about something around that for pricing, but honestly the price would mostly depend also on the pose! A simple pose? Sure I'll do it for a few bucks. A complex angle or pose? yea imma need a few buckos more.

Animations and comics are a big no-no for now. I'd have to REALLY need the money to take em.

Usually every drawing takes me around a week, even less if I have extra time, so I was thinking about taking 2-3 at best so I don't have people wanting over a month.

Hadn't considered requests, maybe I'll give em a shot! I'm not sure about art trades tho idrk other artists lmao

An obvious one but limit the amount you take per month. Maybe start with one or two then see how quickly you can get those done. Best not to let things pile up after all.

You can also do a raffle system if a TON of people get interested in you suddenly.

It's a combination of not setting your expectations too high but also being prepared for if surprise success hits you.

I have no idea on price cause I have too small knowledge in this part, but from what I think it is probably better to not get a lot of commissions immediately. As at first you should get basic experience of doing something for someone else with deadlines. Like for me it's always scary on this part, cause you always feels that time just flying by while you still have a lot to do and improve.
