You should stop being so...should we say, accommodative with the ones that can't take a hint. Sure, I get that alienating some repeat customers, or potential repeat customers can be a concern. But all in all, your well-being should be the main concern. Maybe establishing a simple temporary block system could help? Or maybe sketch out and upload some banner saying "commissions closed until further notice", like some artists do? I dunno, just putting out some ideas here.

That's not a bad thought at all (for some reason I get the visual of Fred's aunt flipping everyone off and screaming in best refined rich woman fashion~)... of course, that could also just make the pesky ones flock there like bugs to a zapper... of course-of course, that means that the moment they do, you can just pounce and block everyone who comments on commissions on that pic~ Or at least trick them by turning off comments for it either outright or later. But by that point, that's just splitting hairs.

Your visualization isn't a bad concept either. The setup could be something like that, or it could simply be a character holding a placard. Both are clear and concise to a point. Or it could be represented by something like a picture of a computer streaming setup without the streamer, with the screen flickering "comms closed" in big neon colored letters, or maybe just the artist laying collapsed on the streaming table. It depends on the wanted effect, I suppose.

Yeah, yeah! And maybe even a fast GIF version of the neon letters flashing and changing colours a la a Vegas sign, it's an easy effect. The literal rendition of saying, "You've been given two warnings and the third is in literal big blinking letters. You don't get it by now, you're not going to get it, so bye, bitch; I won't lose sleep over blocking your ass~" Is it petty? Maybe. But you got to admit, it'll probably feel really good in the moment~

Actually thanks. I'll try to do the banner saying the commisions are closed until I say otherwise. At least the banner seems like a spot what 95% of my watchers will notice. Do you have any idea how to do it on Discord? I get majority of my commisions via Discord and the best would be to have some sort of an announcement over there, so everyone would see. I tried putting that information in my Discord status, bu t that ain't work. The only option I see at this moment is either to change my Discord avatar to something relatyed with "Commisions closed" or include that in my Discord nickname. Or both. Something that would scream in the front of eyes of every person trying to contact me on Discord, before they even start messaging me. I hope you get what you mean.

Something if you go to a small shop and on the entrance door there's a big sing "We're Closed" so the potential customer can see it, before they even reach for the door's handle, realizing the doors are locked too.

Oh, I didn't know you got most of your commission requests at Discord. I'm afraid I've got no clue how to achieve that in Discord. It's been quite a while since I last used the app, and I don't remember seeing much things like banners and such. Usually just the channel, sub-channels, the logos, and the messages, though there might be an option, maybe something in the" pay to use" options, but can't say for sure. You'd have to check around for a bit.

Depending on the size of the user icon, you might be able to squeeze in a short, clear message about commissions being closed. Think of something fitted around the round user icon template, like the laughing man sign from Ghost in The Shell: SAC.

And BTW, the idea of a "small shop with a closed sign" is actually a pretty nice and down to earth analogy for having your commissions closed. Sounds like it would work well for a banner.

I'm not on your Discord page specifically, but what you could maybe do is just have a tab solely for commissions, and then you can keep updating that title of the tab with "COMMISSIONS: CLOSED" or "COMMISSIONS: OPEN" just so that it's a sure way of people who don't see regular updates knowing your status on commissions.

(I don't know how your page is organized, though, so only take this with a grain of salt if it doesn't matter XD)
