Time fore Mouse-ember.

Hello everyone, and I wanna apologize for being pretty absent of late. I am learning a new job for the past few weeks, and I admit to it being so investing that I come home just freaking tired. I am happy that they say I am improving. I need to cut myself some slack. I don’t do that as often as I should. I am literally my own abusive lover. I spend many a times trying not to allow my ID to ruin me with an anxiety attack. If you see me in public taking deep breathes…. I am having a mental fight with my own “Tyler Durden”. I don’t give the fucker a name, but I will not let him win. I will let you know when I can get back in the rhythm. Its gonna take a while.
That being said, I still like doing the monthly lists that
Theaubri and I play with. So lets start Mouse-cember off again with a list of mice and rats that I feel deserve a bit of a shout out.
Share some Mouse love:
- Anatole (Anatole)- This is a cute little series. The main character uses his sense of taste to save a local cheese factory. He starts pulling a human salary, and that is enough to help build a whole mouse community near the factory. I wonder if he and the mayor ever butted heads. I mean he is literally bank rolling everything. Does that mean he has a human bank account?
- Pissy (Cat City)- What if Natasha Romanov joined Team Rocket, and hung around only for the lols. That is literally Pissy in a nut shell. She is an assassin who will do anything to get the job done. From wet work to silk work, its all for the paycheck. And teasing her silly comrades .
- Mortimer Mouse (House of Mouse)- Voiced by the amazing Maurice LaMarche, this ham of an antagonist is a lot of fun to watch. Not only is he Minnie’s ever present ex, but he tries to be a nuisance with every woman in Mickey’s friend circle. Gotta respect a guy trying to build a harem. Why add him to the list, because he is a jerk that stays a jerk. Unlike Pete or Donald, who for Mickey became friends/ frienemies, Mortimer is an ass and stayed that way. Its not often you get an antagonist that stays an antagonist. He even got a theme song where the girls of the House of Mouse verbally trash him.
- Deborah (The Untouchables of Elliot Mouse)- This is a new one for me. You can tell it’s a dub because the VAs are trying desperately to talk fast enough to keep up with the lip flaps and throw in an uncomfortable amount of cheese puns. Deborah is the gal Friday of the hero team. She acts as informant and even the planner at times. Gotta watch more episodes, but so far I like what I see.
- Buster & Chauncey ('s Silent Night)- Singing this will absolutely put me to sleep. But being a Jim Cummings fan, I will fight the Pavlovian urge to pass out. While they use the Xmas celebration as the foil, I adore that the these two have a Danny Kaye and Walter Slezak kinda vibe. I’d like to see more of them if I could.
- Cherie Mouse (Tom and Jerry)- I did not know she had a freaking name. I thought she was just “random mouse fri” for Jerry. A fun little tidbit is that they used to give her the same name as Tom’s token girl, Toots. That kinda puts the thought in my head that Tom gets his revenge on Jerry’s shenanigans because Cherie is a size queen.
- Tutter (Bear in the Big Blue House)- Seriously, I live for Jim Henson studio’s outtakes. This cute little mouse swears like a drunk sailor, and I am here for it.
- Priscilla (Rango)- What do you get when the town goth mates with the country music singing farm boy? You get this creepy ball of sunshine. She stares into your soul, and will most likely pull the trigger if you provoke her.
- Li'l Sneezer (TTA)- He starts off as just a cat chase mouse character with a sneazing gimmick. As the show goes on he takes on a more snarky edge. I even loved his more cheeky side where he is the only toon that could calm an angry Steven Spielberg.
- Peaches (Diskworld)- Discworld is full of amazing rodents. Peaches takes the top for me because she is a hopeful dreamer who did not take any bull from Maurice or the other rats. Given the opportunity, I am pretty sure she would be polite to Rat Death one minute and then give him a proper dressing down the next. I gotta wonder what the Unseen University threw out. Those wizards never make anything good without a good accident involved.
That’ll do for now, but comments are open in the bottom. Toss me a comment, or maybe a link, to a mouse you feel could use some appreciation this month. Extra points if I never saw them before. I’d love to see what you come up with.
Take care everyone.
