I'm a big failure. When good news comes, bad news follows.
After my medical expenses, another huge unexpected expense has cropped up for Christmas. I just received the letter today. My former employer is claiming €744 in overpayment for a salary they paid me while I was recovering from my chronic illness during that particular month. At this point, I don't yet know the date of recovery and I am trying to negotiate a payment plan with them because I cannot afford to be in debt at this time. (I am planning to finally move out of my parents' house.) And I would like a backup plan in case of refusal.
At this point, I do not have this amount as I have no income other than my commissions. France has social assistance for people below the poverty line but because of my former employer's slowness in giving me an important document, I will not receive this assistance until February 2026.
That's why I'm opening the floodgates: selling almost all of my OCs + adoptable redesigns, adoptable customs, commissions, I'll take anything. Just so I can finally have some peace of mind, at least during the holidays.
I'm on the verge of a panic attack.
