FHAC '25 Wrap-Up & Community Feedback
General
Hello everyone, Alex here!
First and foremost, thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Further Hypnosis Art Contest. Whether you submitted an entry, followed along, or helped spread the word, we truly appreciate the time, creativity, and passion this community brings each year.
I’d also like to extend a sincere thank you to our judges, who took time out of their holiday schedules to carefully evaluate every submission.
We’ve seen continued growth in both participation and popularity this year, and with that growth comes the responsibility to keep improving how the contest is run. Based on feedback received and our own reflections, we’ll be making several updates moving forward.
Here are some changes you can expect starting next year:
- More winners will be announced. In 2026, we’ll be expanding to 10 winning placements, along with a larger overall prize budget.
- No more deadline extensions. While we felt an extension was appropriate this year given the circumstances, moving forward all entries will be expected by the listed deadline.
- Clearer judging criteria. We received requests for more transparency around how entries are scored, so next year’s contest will feature simpler, clearer, and more detailed judging criteria.
- More standardized rules. As the contest has grown, we’re moving away from broad language and toward clearer, more defined rules that will be applied consistently.
As we look ahead to future contests, we’d love to hear your constructive feedback! Our goal is always to make FHAC better, clearer, and more enjoyable for everyone involved.
With that being said, please note that contest results and individual placements are final, and this feedback request is not meant to revisit judging decisions or compare scores. We kindly ask that all feedback remain respectful and focused on improving the event moving forward.
Thank you again for being part of FHAC. Your support is what makes it possible for us to continue hosting and funding this contest each year, and we’re excited to keep growing it with your help.
Best regards,
Alex
