Season's Greetings
May you Be Safe, Happy, and Have Peace this Holiday season, however you observe it.
Merry Christmas
That jolly old Elf has prepped his sleigh and checked his list twice. Norad had him over Bethelehem, when I began this sentence; he's on his way to Cairo.
Have your Mummy tuck you in Kitties.
Charlie has been biding his time with me, we have been reading a series of book about a Kitsune (The Nine Tails of Alchemy) and have been watching a lot of old and new Christmas tales: Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas and The Bad Guys. We are also loving the Christmas Music with Anthro Animals (25 Christmas Lane and others) on YouTube.
Back in the Old Dog House
They finished my floor the week before last week and I moved back to my old apartment; it was a lot of boxes, and I hired two local furs to lend a paw.
I'm settled in now, but I found out I moved on MFF weekend -- not that I had plans on going, but I totally forgot about it.
I fully moved in on Pearl Harbor Day, coincidentally, and watched videos about it and the war in the Pacific, again.
New Things
As a small treat in exchange for not going to con, I got a new Fire tablet for my bedside; my 2020 G9 had a failing battery, and I found a refurbished Fire 7 G12 for $50.
I also got a Fawzi talking Fennec from SaveAFox along with my calendar.
I love to read before I go to bed and then I play sleep stories over my bluetooth clock radio. So I'm snuggled up in my kigu and burrowed under my blanket; for now, this is great.
Dialing It In
The young ones are still suiting and planning for ANE. My bones say just no to the cold weather. I check in on Telegram and Discord and chat a bit.
I've gotten used to winding it down around 22:00 my time, so that leaves me out of a lot of streams and my old VR Group, but I'm feeling better keeping a sleep schedule.
Taking Care
As I wrote in a story about chasing, I'm not doing as much as being. I can appreciate things from the Peanut Gallery; this is fine, as the meme goes, but I'm actually quite happy with it.
It's a perspective that comes with age. I don't need to run with the pack, I will wave when they circle back.
I'm now playing with kitchen alchemy. I've learned how to make seitan -- bean gluten -- and am having that rather than pork. It's not the same but my LDL is better for it, and it's pretty tasty depending on how you season it.
Art Dry Patch
I have put my art on the back burner during my move and return. I've been keeping things in my mind and my journal. I may start up again now that I'm settled once more.
I haven't been on FA or DA either, for that matter, but now I am starting to get back into things and I have a snowy Friday to pass time with, I may catch up -- provided my Internet and electricity are both up.
Tomorrow, it's over the river and to my relatives for a Chinese Dinner.
And To All a Good Night
So, I wish for you, again, dear reader, safety, happiness and peace of mind.
Be grateful for the little things always.

I'm down to two cousins, and I had Chinese takeaway with my modeling cousin and his wife.
He's got a Fokker D-8 laid out on the kitchen table, so we had dishes on our laps in the living room XD

I/we're much the same regarding the 'Festivities' and trying to keep up with the Ung'uns! Like you, my olde bones and aging muscles are no longer running with the pack. I prefer cooling my paws next to a warm fireplace, a warm/alcoholic beverage-of-choice in the evening, reading, talking with my Roomie or critters, and snuggling down with a good book or doodling on my drawing book pages. There is something to be said for chillin' out and just relaxing/contemplating!
Wishing you/all the very best during these Holidays, and that the New Year treats you/all with the kindness and respect you have earned and deserve!
I'm glad you're choosing to live your life the way you see fit as well.
