OKAY, everyfur and everydragon. LET'S TALK.

2026 is around the corner (in my part of the world, at least): and let's get the LOW stuff outta the way first. Shall we?

I've been thinking a long time about my past Commissions, as well as my future projects going forward. Going back, I realize that it's not really a good look on my part to hold off progress of some of my backlog, sometimes upward to 2 years (going on 3 for one of them). And I'm reaching a point where, even though I'm gonna saddle on more debt this year, likely due to school, it's with a heavy heart that I MIGHT need to refund a couple of past requests. It will likely be either out of a lack of interest/inspiration, or I just took too long.

NOW... before I get any flack for this decision: know that this is NOT an easy decision for me. I may have been around (and mostly on-and-off) arting since 2012 in these fandoms... but as more cartoon artists emerge in popularity and with interesting kinks to boot (e.g., "null", fat fur, etc.), I believe that it's getting harder to not acknowledge that I have "competition", even though it's not a competition. This is just me thinking out loud, but the feeling is there. There are moments that I wonder if I can ever match that success, knowing that I'm sporadic with my activity. And even if I pledge to post MUCH more frequently going forward, then what? I've barely been able to hear out about what I'm doing wrong and what I could to fix my wrongs so I can be a better cartoonist.

I know I'm going all over the place, but please stick with me. Having to cancel/refund anything is not something I wanted to do, but I REALLY want to move forward with what is in the NOW, the CURRENT TIMES, what is HOT now, and what COULD be hot next. Remember my proposed "BounceCruiser"? I still want that to be the next "big" thing, but I'm barely getting any reach about what y'all want out of it. Same thing for my proposed stories that I previously teased.

The through-line I think is the same: I don't like having to refund, but at the same time, y'all deserve the very best. And it's gonna hurt for me, financially, even though at some point in 2026, I'm going to run out of student loan, so I'll need to either drop out (again), or find some way to raise upward to $1000 every 2 months, in tuition alone, just to stay in school. And as of this post, I have 9 (8-week) classes left, so unless I get a cumulative $8900 between now and the expected graduation date of September 2027... I'm screwed again. And as I said before, I need a financial plan... unless I SOMEHOW get incredibly luck at lottery, which is a pipe dream....
Still... I need some funds so I can do some refunding in a timely manner. If you have questions about this, ask away, please.

In shorter words: some of you may get noted back about this decision, others will not. I have to priorities future projects while finishing off much of what I already owe. The aim here is to get this baggage of delays off of my shoulders. Again, y'all deserve nothing but the best.

Hopefully... I'll do better next year, and beyond... not just with cartooning... but with being a friend, overall....

I'm so sorry for ending the year off like what I just posted here... but it needed to be said so y'all can know what to expect. Again, all of you deserve so much better from somefur like me.

ANYWAY, I also don't want to leave off 2025 on such a low note...
SO, I'm making another note explaining more on my plans heading into 2026.
