"Beasts of Burden" is a lovely, lovely supernatural animal comic written by Evan Dorkin and illustrated by Jill Thompson (of Scary Godmother fame).
You can read the first three issues for free here:

But if you enjoy them you should totally go out to your nearest comic shop and pick up the four issues in-print! They're different from the ones posted at DarkHorse and worth way more than the $2.99 pricetag!
This post is entirely selfish though, as I'm really just hoping to garner more attention for this lovely series and contribute towards keeping it going. XD

read the preview, it looks very interesting. i LOVE the water color like artwork and the detail of it. I'm such a bleeding heart for animals though, if anyone of the characters got hurt or killed id be like *SOBSOB* NO! :P
