Happy 2026! A Retrospective and What's to Come

Another year has come and gone. While I'm not the most frequent of posters I still visit this site every single day and I'm really grateful for the support you guys have given me.
Art is a hobby for me! It always has been, and it most likely won't be anything more than that (perhaps a side hustle at best, but it's not something I'm quitting my day job over). I'm a very busy person and so art gets pushed to the wayside pretty easily. I could be one of those people who makes a new year's resolution and say "I'm gonna draw way more this year!" but if I'm honest with myself I don't think I'd follow through with it. I think it wouldn't encourage me to do art; I think it would coerce me into doing it and make me resent it. I don't want that to happen to me! I want art to continue to be a fun activity for me as opposed to another task I have to complete by the end of some arbitrary time period.
That being said, I would like to draw more. I'm going to be trying to get through things a little more quickly, so we'll see how that goes given my really inconsistent posting so far! One of the main things I want to explore this year is my characters. I want to do some more pinups of them, which has become my favorite thing to draw. I like doing the occasional explicit scene, but I really love the beauty of the human (or I suppose human-like) form. I want to keep pursuing this and perfect my anatomy and work on my shading/lighting going forward. I want my characters (or any characters I draw) to be beautiful, and I hope that working on these things will really drive that home.
I hope you'll all look forward to my future work!
