I need advice regarding commissions

Ok, first off, hello once again xd
So, since I'm on summer break I have free time to try to be more productive regarding money: I want to get more serious about commision work (during 2025 I only did 4 commissions, at least regarding furry art). The thing is, I'm not sure how to find clients. I can only guess that I need to get more followers so there's a bigger chance of finding people interested in commissions, but growing on social media hasn't been easy for me. Up until recently I only posted on instagam and furaffinity, and I think I might have a better chance of finding interested people on the latter, but I'm not sure, only one person ever commisioned me in here (a friend of mine).
A few days ago I started posting on reddit, and it really surprised me that two of my drawings got more than 200 upvotes, so I guess my art has a better chance of visibility on there. Still, most of the drawigs I posted don't get more than 10 upvotes, and I have no followers yet; but I just started, so I guess I must be patient. Do you have any recomendations on what other website should I post my art on? I really want to do commissions, but it's kinda stressful to think that I'll have to start over in different websites to try to get people's attention, and after some time (maybe months) finally find at least one person that's interested.
I was thinking to give my commissions a starting price of 8$ up to 15$ (maybe more depending on the details), idk if any of you thinks that's too cheap, but it's because I'm kinda insecure about my abilities and I don't think people would want to pay more for what I have to offer (at least not yet).
Anyways, any advice or thoughts will be deeply appreciated.
Peace and love, mates.

ive also seen people get commisions through toyhouse, though getting a code to get on that site is a bit difficult, and the site is more geared at people who sell adopts/character designs.
as for pricing, id say artists should never undersell themselves and should charge based on the time and effort they put into their pieces. however it is true that smaller artists should start off with cheaper prices until they get more established. id say 8 dollars is really cheap, but if it works it works!
but i hope this helps :) good luck!
I also struggle with pricing, but I try to see it as a type of "menu": I only offer something at a cheap price if it's limited (like with slots), and I know I can do it in a certain amount of time. And I only offer a few options, no sketches. For example, I'd like to get paid at least 15(USD) an hour, but I know that's an undersell for commission work. So I only offer what I know I can draw in about an hour for 15 dollars, with only 10 slots.
Honestly it's not about "how much your art is worth", it's more like, people prefer to pay cheaper prices for something that's so custom/a luxury good. People will come to you if they think your art is worth it, so I wouldn't worry about it being too expensive. but it might be worth lowering prices/having a limited sale if you feel like you're not selling fast enough and need to; your audience might just not have the money. And plus once they get a commission on sale, they're probably more likely to get another one when they're not on sale since they now have someone they trust to commission.
When I first started on here and was hella desperate/needed money and had 0 audience, I would post an ad (just an upload) for the front page nearly everyday. Just doing that helped a lot: I theorize people who might be looking for commissions might check submission tags under stuff like "open_commission" or "commission" and sort to most recent?? but i have no idea
Apologies if this is a bit of a ramble lol!! I hope it makes sense! and good luck!!!!
