A Special Visit from California
15 years ago
Well, I have no idea where to start, really.
…but over the past six days, someone really important to me visited me here in Georgia. Kinda stinks that he doesn’t have a FurAffinity account, because he really needs one in my opinion (at least one that he uses for social purposes). I’d just pop a link up if he had one. But anyways, his name is Chill Coyotl (AKA: the coyote in the picture I commissioned in my favorites). He’s been my boyfriend for over two years now, and this was the very first time we were able to see one another in person.
It all kinda came out of nowhere, really. My parents had allowed a friend of mine from New York visit for five days earlier this past summer. I thought that if they were okay with my friends visiting and staying at our house, they might be okay with Chill staying as well. Turns out, I was right! …and he was scheduled to visit at the end of December.
I was really nervous and anxious when the time came around a week ago, but things quickly changed. Hehe…it didn’t take long for my California silly to adjust from the 70 degree weather back home to the 30 degree weather here in Georgia. Contrary to what you guys may think, we didn’t really do any of the tourist sites around here. Instead, we did the exact opposite…we just hung out with my friends and showed him much of the insider life in my area. Needless to say, he had a great time and really hit of well with a lot of my friends, especially my friend Beau
badbadbadgerboy. Among these “insider” activities were a HUGE New Year’s party at a friend’s house and a furmeet at a bowling alley.
Unfortunately, the chilly weather around here got to him, and he caught a fever in the last two days here. But that only gave me the power to break out my fox-nurse powers and be right there for him with a spoonful of sugar and medicine! Haha, though Beau probably did a better job of nursing than I did.
When he left earlier today, it started a new chapter in our relationship. I mean, we weren’t just limited to what webcams, phone calls, and IMs can give us anymore. We bridged the geographical gap between us and learned so much more about one another and ourselves. It was an amazing experience that we’re both looking forward to experiencing again in a few months time. I’m tearing up as I’m writing this; I miss him so much right now. But, I got Beau here with me right now, giving me a shoulder to cry on. You can bet I’ll pounce on that phone right away when Chill calls, though.
Take care everyone.

It's good to break the LDR status and actually MEET the person face to face. It lets you in on their mannerisms and all the other little things that they do so that you can assure your self for better or worse that he/she may or may not be right for you. I'm happy for you :P
Although, I'm pretty sure this journal's going to upset many furries out there who thought you were single. Damn tease, you! :3 *hugs*
Haha...nah, I'm just kidding! ^^;
That's like...really awesome! XD
Y'know, there're some pretty nice towns that the trains run through around here. They still have their old stations too (of course, they are kinda out of use now, but still cool nonetheless). Statham and Winder are some really nice towns to visit that are really close to me. If the opporunity ever presents itself, you might like to pay them a visit.
... I should probably try talking to him more, shouldn't I?
