My Twitter is cold and lonely

A little bit goes a long way... except dick. |3 I've been on it since 2017, and I've never had 800 followers.
Sure would be motivating, because I have no idea what I'm doing wrong over there except not paying for it.
Should I airdrop fliers over major cities? Is it naturally difficult??
I'd hate to go premium and it turns out I was just hidden for dough...... How about helping me break out? :3
Take your pick:
nooniebeyl - for art and potpourri (that is 0% political)
nooniearts - the one where I try to stfu and only post art
I never wanted to manage 2 accounts, but by 2025 I was pretty sure my original account was shadowbanned and forgotten or something.
Was it the platform all along? Is it me...? 👇

It's not likely that anyone will be doing 'Twitter numbers' on the other platforms, but at least on those you'll know it's pretty much mostly actual human beings.
And I'm chopped liver.
And the GD bots poking you. (Now they wind up in their own bin you don't see unless you look for it).
Worst of all: the AI. Lots of the people there campaign against it, but the owner is 100% for it. Makes me feel like I can't see effort and reality anymore.
Machines watering down my passion... >[
Machines don't have style tho :)Cuz of that, they ain't gonna run me off!
Yeah, paywalling visibility is a sinister thing to do, and that's one of those "some people can never have too much money" things, But if I wanted an account everywhere, I would have made one at bsky on week 1.
But I'm getting old. Even if I were onto all the new stuff right away, I still have trouble relating because I'm gen X and my approach to everything iiissss blunt. I wonder if I'd even blend in, even if I keep my mouth shut vwv;
I guarantee you that you'll have a nicer time if you just hopped on bluesky and stayed there. It's so functionally identical to Twitter without all the annoying nonsense that it just feels a lot nicer. Don't sweat the numbers, follow some folks, make a lil' announcement here on FA if you want a lil' starting pool of followers, I guarantee you'll be nice and cozy with it in a week.
For me, while the bots and paywall stuff was annoying, what really made me leave was just that I encountered glitches in there that really hampered my experience. Timelines that randomly just stopped loading new tweets, and then the timeline completely changing at the drop of the hat, showing me things from people I'm not following that haven't even been retweeted, that stuff was just mad annoying and Bluesky got rid of that for me. I bet those bugs never even got fixed!
Do all that work, post it with the cleverest shit I can think of, get excited, scroll just to see what's hot.

the colored progression I posted 24 hours ago? 14. If I'm lucky.
It very demotivating....
