Showing my age, I bought these albums back in the early 70's while serving in the Air Force in Wichita Falls Texas.

I still prefer the Moody Blues though.

I have this album on reel-to-reel. (The actual pre-recorded reels, not home-taped.) Beat that.

I used to have one of those "Vietnam Specials," a reel to reel with it's own amplifier and speakers.

I don't need to 'beat that' as I purchased the same R2R from Columbia Record Club, as well as many others. I don't consider owning something ancient a competition, I'm trying to divest myself of sixty years of accumulated trash. Going through a box right now, tossing old game materials and letters.

Kinda nice to know someone else has old stuff they enjoy. Now books, I have some from the mid-1800's. A real nice one meant for people traveling to Paris, lovely etchings on each page of places that the wars did not allow to survive. That was when people took vacations that lasted six months or more. Hades knows I haven't had a vacation on almost forty years.

I'd have to check the box to see if mine was a Columbia House release or not, actually. It probably is, come to think of it; I don't remember record stores carrying a whole lot of music on pre-recorded reels anymore by the mid-70s.

(Then again, Columbia House wasn't exactly carrying a whole ton of stuff on open-reel by then, either, as I recall. You'd go through C-H's little catalog every month, and most of the really good selections all had that little footnote-mark that meant "not available on open-reel" -- heck, you couldn't even get half of 'em on cassette or 8-track, either!)

The only problem I have with this otherwise very fun video is that they cut the instrumental outro. Boo!

Easiest way to warm up is with a hairdryer on low speed. Learned that in Washington state.

This song is also the antidote for PCD as well, just can't not enjoy a song with a fire extinguisher as a bell.
