Theme: Space Piracy
Title:Starbound Pirates: Outlaws of the Astral Sea
Plot: a chaotic space-pirate adventure following a border collie captain who treats the galaxy like a stage and every firefight like a punchline. J is a silver-tongued trickster with impossible luck, cartoonish bravado, and a habit of surviving things he absolutely shouldn’t. J claims he’s just in it for freedom, pleasure, and a good time—but his real name circulates in old military records. Every major faction seems to recognize him, and none of them agree on why. His battered eyepatch over his left eye isn’t just a quirk—it’s a reminder of something unfinished, lost long ago in a war no one talks about anymore, except in half-jokes and uncomfortable silences. Now he sails the void laughing at empires, robbing convoys, and turning disaster into spectacle with pure toon-force audacity.
The Astral Sea is ruled by borders, tariffs, and ancient laws no one remembers agreeing to. one-Eyed J's pirate crew slips through those cracks—stealing from empires, sabotaging corporations, and vanishing into the void laughing.
As the crew plunders deeper into forbidden regions of space, they stumble upon relics, lost ships, and whispers of a hidden current beneath the Astral Sea—a force that predates modern civilization and may be waking up. Each raid pulls them closer to truths buried under jokes, bloodshed, and desire. Allies become liabilities, pleasures turn political, and the line between pirate fantasy and cosmic destiny begins to blur.
At its core, Starbound Pirates is about outlaw freedom in a universe obsessed with control—about whether a man running from his past can laugh his way into becoming something dangerous, legendary… or catastrophic.
Think Treasure Planet meets Pirates of the Caribbean, with a hint of Lovecraft horror—alongside adult themes, sharp character chemistry, and a stylish mix of sex appeal, chaos, and cosmic ambition—perfect for bold art, expressive characters, and high-energy visual storytelling.
