My FUR-Bulous 25th Birthday Party

General
Hey Babes,
So, again, my birthday is actually the 24th, but this year I figured I would go ahead and celebrate early, considering the fact that my actual birthday is a Tuesday, and I have to take my mom to the doctor that day and run general errands and y'know, do grownup stuff. But that being said, here's how my absolutely AMAZING weekend went if you're curious!
For those of you who may be unaware, I was down in Williamsburg, VA on vacation last weekend with four of my friends, three of whom are also furries. I have regarded Williamsburg as a second home for quite a few years now, so being back in the area- and back in the area with so many people I love- was so refreshing.
We arrived Friday the 6th. I had a shift at work prior, so I was kind of tired, but it was a low-key night anway; pretty much all just getting settled into our room. My married couple friends' mother in law actually had paid for our room which was SO incredibly sweet of her. The hotel also provide me with a snack bag with a couple chocolates, some water, and some chips which was also really, really nice. We had dinner out and I bought my first of many, many plushies- a Bellzi Bat.
Next day, we were planning on going to Busch Gardens, however we received notification that the park was closed due to the fact that it was increidbly cold and windy that day. So, instead we pivoted. Thanks to the guide the hotel provided for us, we learned there was a crystal shop nearby, which a lot of us really enjoyed, and then went to the Ripley's Believe it or Not museum and their mirror maze attraction which we all really enjoyed. Ironically, my buddy who I went through the maze with and I made our way back to the entrance before we even found the exit ha ha! From there, we went to this MASSIVE store filled to the brim with books, toys, music, and so many other cool things. While I didn't get anything there (surprisingly), I took it as an opportunity to spend more money at Great Wolf lol. We then went back to the hotel, where one of my friends cooked the most delicious dinner, and we all got a little tipsy off pineapple and straberry wines and played games. I also took them to my favorite pancake place there and everybody looooooved it. The pancakes there are nearly the size of a car steering wheel, so we all brought leftovers back to the hotel to eat the following morning.
And then came Great Wolf. Oh my god it felt SO GOOD to be back. We started at the waterpark, of course, and played for at least two and a half hours. Slides, wave pool, lazy river, and the fort. The wave pool especially was a ton of fun, and two of my friends really really loved the slides, especially the Tornado. I also went down River Canyon Run (one of the slides) probably the FASTEST I've ever gone down that slide; it was almost as heart-pounding as the Tornado ha ha! Then we went to do our shopping- Build a Bear, Buckhorn, and the Magi Quest store. Two of my friends bought things from BAB, and I made the new version of Violet, who I made smell like birthday cake. I also got like five more wolves from Buckhorn lol. Then we had the most delicious pizza I've had in a very long time. Following pizza, Glow Golf! I loved that GWL brought back mini golf and gave it a super fun glow in the dark twist. I failed miserably at it, but had a ton of fun. Each of us got a hole in one though, which was great. Then the arcade! I LOVE that arcade so much and it got a major upgrae. Lots of shiny new machines and so many new fun games. I also won yet another wolf plush, and a fun pillow of the Great Wolf mascots that makes them look like those pink frosted animal crackers. And then, finally, our day ended with Magi Quest and making friendship bracelets in the lobby. From there, we all packed up and headed back home.
