shadows aren't always the go to: sometimes you can do what steven universe does and use dynamic colour pallets depending on the environment. (i haven't done this myself yet but someday i should since i suck at shading)
experiment with line thickness: thinner line weights here and there, thicker ones also, you get the idea. get fun with it! one bit of this advice i hear a lot is kinda thick outline to make the drawing pop and gradually using thinner lines on the inside.
and lastly: try out a ton of body types. it's not really an issue or anything but it is advice that helped me a lot.
senōr kensington is naturally built and that rocks, and there's only two other OCs introduced as of now. but don't be afraid to experiment. look up lineups of types of athletes with different body types for references! ("olympic athletes different body types" leads you right to a super helpful one)
i considered advice for posing but you're pretty good at that already!
sooo yeah hiss on!
you'll improve for sure
