Home Sweet Home.

General
The ending of Arc 2 goes live tomorrow!! Phew!
So the last end of a whole Arc was about 3 years ago with the end of chapter 6. So I wanted to catch you folks up on the sort of gameplan as to know what to expect! but while the Long Hikers are becoming Chill Denvers, I want to cover those things.
First is a bit of a break for me
I have been drawing almost non stop for almost 27 months, save for a week here and there between chapters and a handful of weeks between chapters 9, The House of Salt and Oil, and 10. I wanna slow down for a bit just to give my wrist a chance to rest. Carpal tunnel can be a nightmare believe me. But that doesn't mean I won't be drawing anything whatsoever! Just I won't be drawing a hole in my tablet as much. But for drawing stuff you will see in the upcoming weeks here are some things on the upcoming pipeline
A Different Trail
This is a series I want to continue with every arc, to explore the myriad good, bad, horrid and melancholic alternate endings the comic could have taken.
I think the potential alternate endings are mostly ok this time around... Except the first one which I am honestly very nervous about drawing due to the implications. That likely being the first possible assumed ending where Imua and crew are enslaved and/or killed by the Jawgots... but aside from that very dark alternate ending I am sure most of them will range from positive to perhaps a bit more melancholic. But we will see.
Éldimor Atavism 2 electric boogaloo
There have been a lot of smaller changes to Drekir and broader life in Õndem since the beginning of chapter 7 2 years ago, and so I want to ensure that there are some comics to help lead folks into the new changes. Some of those are more manatechnological (Yaetil for example) and I will find ways to bleed those in later. But for the more biological shifts those are going to start happening in a new set of minicomics just like when the wool started coming in. Breed changes and the end of hooves amongst the only species known to have them in canon at this point, drekir. Truly apocalyptic for the majority hoofed residents of the Great Lake but so it goes.
A side story!
I am still very torn on what side story to tell, so I plan on giving it a few more weeks to really decide what I want to do. I am leaning more on a remake of Good Morning currently but still not sure. I really do also want to tell each and every one of those other stories listed in the prior journal! So give me a few weeks to figure out what I want to tell.
Lastly, a 5 year anniversary!
The 5th anniversary of the Long Hike happened on the 9th. So about two weeks ago-ish.
The craziest part is after 5 years of storytelling, The whole story of The Long HIke is only halfway done. Yeah this is the halfway point!.. There are around 24 chapters all planned out for TLH and I never thought I would get this far. I know the readership isn't what it was in arc one but I think that's just how it goes with these sorts of things. But I do want to voice my appreciation for everyone for reading. Genuinely the comic gives me a strong reason to get up in the morning and keep on keeping on in spite of all the chaos in the world and in my own personal life. You folks are awesome.
Thanks a billion! I hope to not let you down with my upcoming comics, be it the side story, TLH, or whatever!
Be well

Anyway! Rest up, you deserve it! Can't wait to see what story you come up with next. :)
I think the short stories are better left that way, not sure if I pick up the idea again! Though it would likely be to touch on another colonial group rather than that specific outpost
