little jagz update ~

In my last update journal, I talked about fracturing my shoulder and received so many lovely responses.
I thought I would give another update!
The shoulder has made a pretty much full recovery, and I'm back on the bike now.
I met a guy while I was still in the sling, and we immediately hit it off - and now we live together 😆
It was very fast but I could not be happier! Living together is fantastic and as easy as breathing.
My mental health got so bad while I was at uni, and it has taken a while to really recover from that. Honestly, I went to one of the darkest places I've ever been. The stress brought on an intense PTSD relapse, I went totally mute for two weeks, and I was having very severe compulsions. I needed medical attention multiple times as a result before finally pulling the pin and withdrawing. I really gave it everything I had, but it turns out it's just not for me. That's okay.
I am stable now and happy. I am taking commissions again as well as working as a bicycle mechanic a few days a week, and this balance is really nice. I get a couple days a week out of the house and doing work I enjoy, and a couple days working from home in a calm, quiet environment.
I am also doing oil paintings and generally enjoying my new home! It is sunny and warm, I get my own art room, and we have heaps of storage for our bikes and tools. There is an Australian Magpie who I've named Mia that visits every day, and it's only a half hour bike ride to work.
Things are improving, and I am really happy with how natural it has felt to come back to furry art. I am really lucky and grateful to have this community and to have such lovely customers and friends here <3
Thank you for everything, and it is so nice to be back.
