Update on Commissions (Feb 2026)
General
Heya! This one goes out to anyone that commissioned me this month.
I'm still working on them, but progress has been far slower than I'd have liked. Facing a bit of burnout, but not to the point I can't finish them. Nothing is being delayed.
Tl;dr: Combination of sick, light burnout, and just general slow progress, but things are still mostly on-track.
I did make sure to give myself leeway in my commissions page by specifying 1-4 weeks just in case life had happened and got busy. I like to set fair expectations for my customers and avoid nasty surprises and delays if possible, and more than that I like to get WIPs and even the finished piece out sooner than my ETA. I haven't been able to do that this month and I apologize for that. I'm someone who does best bouncing between multiple art projects at once and weaving in a personal piece here or there to keep my artistic flow in check, but that does have its downsides.
Going forward I'm going to be more careful with the amount of commissions I take on at once to keep my usual quicker pace I like to keep as an artist. As far as anyone who commissioned me this month, going to do my best to be in touch soon with updates!
I'll also take this time to remind people that you can always initiate a refund at any point in the process when commissioning me. The refund may be partial depending on how far along the commission is, and might have to wait until I get paid around the first week of the month, but I am always willing to discuss and offer refunds, and if preferred, no questions asked.
